  1. Another myth. Generally speaking, it was universally agreed on here that most wouldn't fancy Howe at the time. It was just simply that most, correctly, said he done a decent job at Bournemouth and he has continued to now do a decent job at Newcastle. Others, like yourself, fail to give him any credit which is just laughable really. The job he done at Bournemouth was fantastic.
  2. Well said and the way most of the more rational non red/white painted glasses wearing posters would see it. Reality is, Howe is doing a decent job, will probably secure them mid table and be gone within a couple of seasons for a bigger name to take the next step. If that coincides with the time Ralph walks, then I’d happily be open to the possibility of him coming here (proving this Trend continues).
  3. Some certain people on here have a real vendetta against Howe, even to the point where they won’t accept that he’s doing a decent job on the Toon. Ive even seen someone suggest that At bournemouth, when it went tits up, it was all him spending the money. Now, when it goes well, it’s secret agent (not yet even employed by the club) Ashworth doing all the spending. Regardless of who is or isn’t spending the dosh, he’s doing a great job there and has already, almost certainly kept them up… I suspect, if you look at the points total since he came in (around the same time our fork perked up it should be said), I bet they’re not a million miles off us.
  4. Generally, just a bad day at the office. They happen, move on (easy to say when you’ve been on a good run!) A few observations from me: - Without Salisu, our defence is not up to scratch. Bednerak and stephens as a partnership just doesn’t work. - Villa have a real exciting team, especially going forward. No shame losing to them. - Couthino and Ings showed that form is temporary and class is permanent. Ings looked like the player they thought they were getting for 30m. I’d have loved to have seen him and Broja together for at least a season!
  5. I got a 2 week ban for this exchange. If you think Putin is a ruthless dictator, wait until you get on the wrong side of Lighthouse…

    Claude Puel

Isn’t this the exact same logic that got your prediction or Armstrong vs Broja so incredibly incorrect? One whom never believes they are wrong, will never learn.
  7. You’re fucking tedious mate. Let’s not get into this tit for tat again. Everyone is wrong now and again. I know you think your gods gift, but even you on this one.
  8. The thing that your stats don’t tell you, is the type of squad they had or system they played in. For example, Lukaku, if you based him on this season then you’d say he’s poor. The reality is, Chelsea aren’t playing to his strengths. basing an opinion on stats / goals alone is a stupid way to look at things. It doesn’t paint the full picture. Regarding Adams and JWP, I’m happy to admit since my criticism of them, they’ve both improved. I still think JWP is vastly overrated on here but so, so. Everyone but you could tell… but apparently it’s a lucky guess…
  9. What are you rambling on about now. Clearly, when making a signing we’d watch a player on numerous occasions. I don’t dispute that. At the end of the day, you made your opinion based on the fact Armstrong scored more than Broja last season, rather than the clear visible attributes that Broja has, which will make him a top player. You were wrong, it’s fine to admit.
  10. 1 - that’s irrelevant, as I said, neither were tested at this level. Both should have been judged on there merit in training and or on the pitch and not what they achieved last season. 2 - I was right because it was absolutely fucking obvious to everyone other than you. Despite what your spreadsheet says, someone who’s lighting quick, over 6 foot and a pretty clinical finisher is quite clearly going to be a top top player.
  11. Neither were proven at this level and as shown, scoring in the championship doesn’t equate to goals in the premier league. it took me probably 20 minutes to see this guy is the real deal.
  12. Welcome Back sir, I was starting to worry.
  13. I think that’s because we’ve not got kick and run wingers / forwards in the 10. Armstrong and Moi are pretty good technical players and comfortable receiving the ball in a tight space.
  14. More importantly, Has @suewhistle announced that she was down the pub and had x amount of pints yet? Given we see jt every match thread, I’m desperate to know.
  15. Twar hacked your account?
  16. Do you honestly think it was a ‘superb’ assist or just to back up your opinion of Tino who’s good, but not as good as KWP (yet). The cross wasn’t a great one imo, a little too high and floated. I’d be expecting my CB to read and win that. I’d say the leap and header from Long was superb if anything.
  17. Tend to agree. Armstrong is a key player for us along with Romeu, in this system. However, Moy has given us something we’ve never had, and that’s a player similar to Armstrong (good on the ball can drop in the pocket) on the left side. Moi has really balanced the team.
  18. Without trying to put a downer on things, which I’m not, honestly… how bad are Everton. A huge job for Frank and if they continue like today, could very easily get dragged in to the bottom 3. I think, the bottom 3 will stay as is, but If I was them, I’d be looking over my shoulder.
  19. It’s rather strange, we seem to go on these ridiculous runs of form under Ralph where we’re either massively over achieving or massively under achieving. let’s hope the run continues, a bit like 2020 and we can sneak into Europe.
  20. A bit like Eddie Howe since he come in. The list could go on both ways, so for the benefit of the thread, let’s enjoy the win 👍🏻
  21. Shhh they might try and poach A. Armstrong from us with all that ceiling he’s got.
  22. f**k me, you really do think you’re gods gift don’t you. dropping Armstrong for Tino was a ridiculous decision that would never have happened.
  23. I’d absolutely love it.
  24. Perhaps it’s an advert for the targets we have in the summer….
