  1. All depends on how long McKenna is there. If Chelsea or United dont get off to the start they want and ipswich are doing alright, I suspect they'll come knocking. I think Chelsea will struggle again this season
  2. The good old days of 2013... before Wokeness hit full flow.
  3. It is. Hardly groundbreaking stuff though. Premier leauge footballer can't keep it in his trousers and people see it as an oportunity to earn a quick buck.
  4. Ha, good old Yoshida. Loved by the fans, but a right seedy bastard. I know of many a story about him being a naught boy behind his partners back. One of which went to the club and he had to pay her off (allegedly )
  5. Weren't we linked with a take over by the bloke that caused all this mess (lopez or something I think he name is). A lucky escape there it seems!
  6. Apparently Arsenal are willing to let Nketiah go, which if true, is a deal we should absoutely be all over. The sort of player we should be looking at and ones that have been a big success for us in the past (Bertrand, KWP, Romeu, Ings). Premier leauge experience for big clubs, but not able quite able to nail down a regular starting spot. I'd imagine you'd be looking at £25m+, but I think he'd be a great signing for a huge number of sides in this leauge.
  7. Personally, I think the role he finished the season in (box to box, advanced 8, 10 whatever you want to call it) where he was further up the pitch, suited him. I'm not sure he has the quality to push on in the PL, but between him and Aribo, if we can get some quality in along side them, will be enough.
  8. If we're gonna move towards a 352, I'd love to see him played as one of the 2 and given a free role to float. Alcaraz and a fit stewart could be a real handful for any side next season imo.
  9. In fairness, I was running on the assumption that, given we've signed a million CB's, we'll surely be moving towards a 352
  10. its been a good start to the window so far imo. I think Wood was a total waste of money, but at £3m, its low risk and solid option for next year if we fail to stay up. However, I think we're probably only on par with how the season ended in terms of starting 11 strength. We're a keeper (ramsdale wold be a dream), CM (Ditto for O'riely) and a number 9 away from being really competative, imo.
  11. Currently we have; Stephens, THB, Janny B, Wood, Edwards + ABK (atlhough he's obviously off) who can play CB. There's no way we're playing a LB at CB and a RB at LB. KWP is off (providing we find a buyer) and rightly so if he wont sign a new deal.
  12. Because we're a nation full of loosers. Southagate epitomises that. For me, give Carsely the job until the end of the next season - at that point, test the water with Ancolotti, if that fails pep, if that fails Tuchel. We don't currently have any homegrown managers ready to take us to the next level. If we have to pick one, potter or Oneil - anyone but Howe.
  13. devils advocate, whilst I agree we should have performed better tahn we have, I'd take boring 1-0 wins from now until the final. generally speaking, cadgey, defensive football is what wins these things.
  14. we're not signing another keeper - we've just given McCarthy a new deal.
  15. I thought that Nathan Wood was absoultely shite when I saw him last season, but really excited about Edwards. Exactly the sort of profile we should be looking at. I do hope we're not replacing someone like Bednerak, with these 2 though - bednerak has his limitations, but was solid last season and is vastly more experienced... it would be a massive risk.
  16. Given the seagulls are starting follow the trawler, I think its time we throw them a sardine, Turks.
  17. He wasn't signed on a 2 year deal though, was he - so that is a bit of an irrelevant argument. He was brought in to get us promotion - that was the target. We had the 3rd best squad in teh leauge, and we effectively finished 3rd. Minimum expected imo.
  18. Incredibly short sighted by the club and will potentially (likley) come back to bite us on the arse. We've absolutely no idea how we will do in the PL and his / the clubs 'success' was acheiving the bare minimum expected... Why would you not wait 6 months and assess in December.
  19. I thought that was pretty common knowledge....
  20. He's always been a complete helmet. He was loaned out from Boro for that exact reason. Good player, but the sort we do not want in our dressing room - especially after ridding oursleves of them post relegation.
  21. Chelsea are very active down here. Especially up sholing getting players in as soon as they start playing.
  22. ignoring how poor your football / saints knowledge must be to get the 2 mixed up, did it not register when you saw that Rednkapp reads nothing like Strachan?
  23. Been around for ages. Used in the CL as well.
  24. I'd say its a pretty safe bet to think that JWP wouldn't upset the dressing room...
  25. ahhhh we've just been given the Manji kiss of death. Looks like we're fucked.
