He was probably aiming for the corner, but he’s lucky to have even hit the post. His scuffed the shot, if he hadn’t and was aiming for the corner, it would have gone in?
-
Stop digging pal.

Fuck me. Absolute rubbish, clearly, you’ve never played the game or just that you’re scrambling to find an excuse to back up your opinion you’re coming out with total nonsense. If you believe it was intentional for him to do that, crack on. But fucking hell, you’re shot away if so.
-
1 on 1 less than 12 yards out is only a half chance mate
-
Each to their own. I’d much rather a player who given those chances actually has the ability to stick it away. I don’t know why you keep saying he was unlucky. It’s was a dreadful attempt, that’s the only reason it hit the post because it was struck soo badly.
-
Half chance!!? Behave. Any striker of premier league quality should and would have put his first chance away. The reason he hit the post is because of lack of quality in the strike, hit it clean, it goes in. It wasn’t unlucky at all, it was poor finishing. His second was also, what I’d consider, a really good chance for someone who’s playing in the premier league.

Reminded me in a way of the one against Tottenham, where he lunged in and got sent off as well. He’s clearly got potential and for the most has been top class. He’s certainly not at the level Van Dijk was whilst with us. Needs to take a step up before going to a ‘big 6’ team imo. Newcastle would be a good fit, could see him going there in the summer.

Notibly ignored Armstrong’s misses. Jesus, you really won’t admit you’re wrong, will you 😂
-
As I said; the game at that point had changed. City were a lot more compact and it was tough for both strikers. Its Pointless making good runs if you’ve got 0 ability to put them away amd scuff every shot you have. If you seriously reckon that was intentional for him to scuff it and guide it on to the post, then clearly you’re absolutely deluded. Despite being on the pitch for 1/4 of the time, he actually only made 1 less pass; as seen below. Don’t get me wrong, Broja didn’t offer a great deal, but neither did Armstrong. So call him out rather than being hypocritical. But you won’t, as that doesn’t suit your agenda.
-
Other than Broja coming on at a point where the game had completely changed, I do agree that Broja was pretty non existent. He came on too late. ultimately though, had he been on the end of the chances Armstrong had, I suspect the outcome would have been different. he only hit the post because he scuffed him shot (as with all other chances he had), had he struck that cleanly, we’d have been 1-0 up rather than 1-0 Down. Big mistake.

A CB and a decent striker (not a championship gamble) are a must this summer if we want to progress. Id love us to sign Broja, but I think it’s looking unlikely given the situation at Chelsea. But even so, we also need another to complement him him. on top of that, a number 10 would be nice. Get rid, if possible, of Stephens, Theo, long, smallbone and the rest of the deadwood.
-
Had it not been for the misses, I wouldn’t have known he was on the pitch in the first half.
-
Broja was quiet when he came on at a point where the game had gone, but I’d stick my Mortage on him taking one of those Armstrong chances. Also would have been perfect at running in behind.

My summary. Played really well for 60/70 minutes. Shoulda/coulda/(starting our regular strikers) woulda been 2/3 up and probably out of sight. Last 30 after the pen, was pretty poor but City are an unreal team who can bring on some unreal players, which we can’t. Stephens, time to move him on. Just not good enough. Salisu, looked bang average and making mistakes post injury. To me, doesn’t look fit. A.Armstrong, other than 3 or 4 scuffed shots offered us nothing. I’d be amazed if he had more than 5 touches in the first half.
-
😂😂😂😂 Fucking Mike dean. How dare he not give city another 3/4 minutes to probably stick another past us, especially at 4-1. Wanker. Probably already planing his post match celebrations.
-
Unfortunately came on at a point where the game had changed. Needed to come on at half time (if not start), game went from being open to completely shut after the pen.
-
Shoulda given it Mike Dean. He’s won it for city innit.
-
Oh I got you! Yep agreed. Adams is a bit more of a rounded and technically better Shane Long and Armstrong looks miles off being a premier league player on today’s display. Really average.
-
I’m sorry but any premier league striker should be taking 2 or 3 of those chances (thinking Armstrong off the post and Adams).
-
As I said earlier, the Pen killed the game for us. Prevented any real opportunity to hit them on the break.
-
I’m which case, they’d be right in looking at it up the other end then? It wasn’t soft, it was fucking obvious.
-
What’s your argument? It was a stone wall pen, that was given and checked on VaR amd still given. Other than some made up scenario in your head where that wouldn’t have been given the other end, I don’t really know what you’re trying to prove.
-
Really frustrating. Good goal, Great finish but we should be out of sight. We’ve not been good enough in either box today.
-
Why do all our chances seem to fall to those who can’t finish ffs.
-
The goal has killed the game, was really open and prefect for the oncoming attackers, but not city can defend in numbers without chasing the game. really irresponsible tackle that from Salisu.
