I'm fairly relaxed about the GK situation, I'm certain we will find an upgrade, I just think there are a number of things that need to fall in place. Ramsdale would be the ideal one, but he is obviously in demand - understandbly so. He is the main peice in the jigsaw and it'll come down to Arsenal's demands lowering, which is why it'll happen towards the end of the window (imo). Liverpool are supposidly close to agreeing a deal for the Georgian keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. The plan for him is to loan him out for a season, with Bmouth being toutted. If Bmouth get Ramsdale, that leaves Mamardashvili free (hes brilliant - or at least was in the euros). Wolves have Sa. Neither are going to accept sitting on the bench or being used in a rotation basis. If Ramsdale goes to Wolves, Sa becomes avalibile. Palace have Henderson and Johnson. Like the above, if Ramsdale goes there, one or both become avalibile (preferably Henderson but Johnson is an improveemnt in what we have). The question will be, will Wolves / Palace loan us a keeper if it comes to it.

See out your remaning few seasons relaxing in the sun in turkey or coming back to england for a team fighting relegation (likely to go down). I know what I'd prefer.

Personally, I think its why we should keep hold of TP (unless someone wants to offer us half decent money). He offers us something different. If we come against a side who are going to sit deep (almost like Newcastle did after the sending off), with Suga's crossing ability from what I saw saturday, having TP in the box would be a right handful.

I genuinely couldn't think of a worse deal that this one, if it was to be true. Even if KWP leaves, we don't need a bang average LB. We have Taylor & Manning already, we shouldn't be eating up a loan slot on Matt Targett.

Alcaraz is off, Lallana wont play more than 5 games, dibbling, for me, is a 10 and could play in the front 2.

£10.2m is a great deal for all involved imo. I think he'll do well in the french leauge, theres a player there, hes just not suited to the more physical nature of english football. He's no loss to us and we've not had to take a hit on him.

It was a decent, assured performance from us. I went into the game fearing the worst but we looked composed on the ball. Clearly we are going to struggle to score the amount of goals we did last season, but I don't think we'll conceed as many either. Suga looks a serious player. Arugably worth keeping TP with his crossing ability, which seemed to be on the money every time. Wasn't impressed with what I saw from Archer, but its early doors!

I'm not sure that's true. We had a couple of 'good' chances and BBD should have put us 1-0 up with his header. We desperatley need more attacking threat in the midfield though .

Surely this puts to bed any deal for O'riely..? We're a little stacked in midfield as it stands.. DM / 6: Downes / Lesley (I think this is a really solid set of options) CM / 8's: Smallbone, Aribo, Fernandes, Alcaraz Downes is going to start every game hes fit to, which will probably be about 70% of the season all being well. Lesely hasn't signed to sit on the bench for 70% of the season, so realistically leaves 4 people fighting for 1 spot atm.. Obviously Alcaraz is going to leave, I wouldn't be surprised if Aribo left as well tbh. Could see him going somewhere like Saudi. I do fear that given our options, whislt I think we'll be defensivley a load more sound, there is not much goal threat.

On the keeper front, we've massivley shot ourselves in the foot by offering Lumley a new deal half way through last season (why?) then after that, McCarthy a new one at the end of the season (again, why?). I appreciate they're probably both cheap options, but it was so clear we needed an upgrade. The oversight of such an important position is bordering on negligence from Martin / the board.

That answers that one. I did have a quick check, not many have played for both... Like I said, it was a genuine question, I know it can be quite partizan in that part of the UK...
