If him being the next to leave is true, obviously… And yes, I along with every single other person you point this out to, know how odds work. A drop of such significance would take a fair amount of money pumped on it and given nothing has been reported in the media (if anything it’s been the other way), to me would suggest ‘inside knowledge’. Of course there is nothing to suggest that inside knowledge is true though.

In fairness, we’re not far off that now. What are we, 1 win and a couple of draws in 10? But you’re right, we’ve never really been in any real danger of relegation even as bad as we’ve been.
-
Still wouldn’t mind us having a look at Tanganga. Can play anywhere across the back 4 (probably not a great wingback tho, that being said). Suits our model of ‘good player but not quite good enough for big 6, yet) and has the added benefit of being Young, hungry and therefore guaranteed to improve.
-
Realised he’s taken us as far as he can? Jumping before being pushed? Responsibility being taken away and the new owners looking to bring in someone to help him… which he doesn’t like? Either way, if true, good news as a change is needed.
-
Just even more shit then. In fairness, he plays in a role which requires a degree of technical ability and you need to be decent on the ball. He’s a kick and run merchant, so doesn’t suit that at all. I’ve always thought he’d be better suited to us up top next to Adams. Surely would have been a better option than Long
-
Personally, I think both were pretty soft but in the same light, both were pretty stupid and you can see why we’re given. Had both been a little smarter / sly, it’s not a pen and not a second yellow. That being said, I thought Son was lucky to get away with the elbow he threw whilst on the floor. In this day and age, I’m very surprised VAR didn’t take a closer look.
-
I can’t help but think he would be a terrible coach. He has very little technical ability (or brain) and is basically just quick. Well used to be quick, he’s not any more, hence why he doesn’t make the squad.

Where is Twar? Or is even his love for Ralph dwindling?
-
Raphina ffs. This place makes me laugh. We can hardly afford top end championship players, let alone top end Premier league players.
-
Cooper is the most realistic, best option for us imo. Farve wouldn’t be a bad shout either, not sure he suits our model though.
-
Which Ralph isn’t and is why he needs to go. Finding a style which is sustainable means being tactically flexible, by every definition of being sustainable.
-
Fair enough. Certainly feels like a stick or twist moment for the club. Stick with Ralph and potentially waste another summer buying players to suit his style / formation, or give the new man a summer to build a squad in a similar way to Vieria at Palace. Either way; a huge summer for the club. A lot we need to shift and a lot we need to buy.
-
I assume in that case Burnley’s confidence must be rock bottom after taking a bit of pasting from Villa, so they’re not picking up 6 points from Tottenham, Villa and Newcastle.
-
He’s had 3 years to find and refine a style which suits us and is sustainable across 38 games. If he’s not learned already, then I really fear he never will. We’re never going to be a club who will go out and buy 10/11 players to suit the managers style. A good manager will adapt his style to suit his squad. From what I’ve seen, I don’t think Ralph is capable of doing that.
-
I’m imagining it… and they’ll still need to win at least 1 more game and get a draw in the other to go above us. In the unlikely event they put a run of wins together, which hasn’t happened all season, Burnley and Everton (more likely as they have good players), would still need to pick up 2 results for us to drop. It’s not happening. We’re safe. there’s a strong chance we could finish 16th worse case 17th, but we’re safe… for now.
-
Being away from him for a short period of time will probably do them a favour.
-
The same could be said about Ralph. because he followed to clowns, some people seem to hold him in god like status blaming pretty much anyone but him.
-
End of season form under Ralph for the past 2 years?
-
We need someone proven at this level. Been there and done it on a tight budget who can sort us out defensively. Personally I only see one man for for the job…. Puel
-
Oh I agree. I think we’ve always been shit defensively. We’ve literally lost 9-0 2 seasons on the bounce and we’re lucky to avoid it this season. When Broja stopped playing well and causing the other team problems, we literally have fuck all about us other than a JWP free kick.
-
Broja stopped playijg well.
-
Ralph can’t set a team up to be solid and grind out results consistently. We’ve had him for 3 years and never seen a sniff of him being able to.
-
Probably a bit of brilliance from an individual and Ralph making some decent changes. Which is why it won’t happen.
-
Aye? What relevance has that got on who Ralph selects? Reality is, Broja and Armstrong are both better than Long.
