Awful set of fans. I hope they rot. I remeber they were genuienly calling for Hassenhuttl when they sacked rooney and were in the bottom 3 of the championship. Delusional bunch.
-
for some reason, he's been first choice sub in 2 games this season. I don't know if its shop window but maybe he thinks he has a chance here. God forbid if he does. You're absolutely right though. Tella was a great example of that and Sheff Utd are a decent club at that level.
-
Why cant Goztepe put their hand in their pockets. They could easily offer us £10-£15m for him. Maybe even £18 as a thanks for all the players that they've used us to get.
-
this is a great deal for the club. He might go on to be brilliant and a future england left back, but he also might end up like Jake Yokins or Thierry Small. 1 year left on his deal and not going to get any minutes this season, if he breaks through, we'd only lose him in a year or 2 for £20m anyway. Brilliant work from Parsons.
-
I remember saying that about 4 times last season. The bloke is fucked. A real shame for him, but we need to move on and not consider him as an option.
-
Best deal we ever done was swap him (effectively) for Downes. JWP is an upgrade on Smallbone and Aribo, but that's about it.
-
New england manager, Kane getting on, could have moved to a top 6 PL side and earnt £150k+ a week. I'd have thought he'd have stuck around for another couple of years to try and get into that england side for the world cup. Dissapointing, but I'm not sure Toney is the best character.
-
You don't n half talk some shite. Cornet, if signed, isn't coming in to play wing back.
-
He doesn't want to be here. If he wanted to be here, he'd be first choice. It'll be interesting to see if he doesn't go, how soon it'll be before he's in the side though. Gut says he'll move on loan to the contenent though.
-
Unless you are part of the COT. We called it weeks ago
-
has Nketiah moved on yet? Surely as the window draws closer, Arsenal will budge - possibly a loan with option...?
-
We dont need him, but hes an improvement on Aribo and Smallbone and on freekicks alone, will get us more goals that the 2 of those combined. If we can agree a loan deal for him, as long as its not at the detriment of us bringing in a number 9, I'd say its a no brainer. If anything, his leadership and experience of 'digging in' during a relegation battle will be worth the loan fee alone.

'Always' going on...

tbf I think I got it wrong myself. Its 3 continuous years before they're 21 (from what I can see). So Bellingham as an example, would be a 'homegrown' player should he return. Someone like Larios would also be considered a homegrown player... In short, its a bit of nonsense really.
-
I think you're missunderstanding what the 'homegrown' rule means. Its basically anyone who's been at an english club since they were 18, its got nothing to do with them playing for the clubs academy.
-
In the absence of a clear out and out number 9, I'd play them all. A bit like we did when we had Alcaraz in the false 9 against leeds. Suga THB Bednerak KWP Downes Les (Smallbone) Fernandes (Aribo) Dibbling (Lallana) Archer (AA) BBD (Sulemana)
-
Same can be said about the links to Fraser. Absolutely no benefit / value / need in us making a move for him.
-
I can't help but think who else we might have been able to sign (i.e would the extra £4m made a difference to getting O'riely, as an example), had we not wasted money on Wood. Bloke looks abaolsutely useless.
-
Yeah agreed. Not just the shinpads, he carries the ball like Grealish did in his early years as well.
-
perhaps I'm not dissapointed by us not going balls deep on a keeper who has a questionable playing record.
-
If only we had a 6'7" target man, with a decent goal scoring record for every team hes player for..... knowing old Russ, if we did, he'd play without a number 9 and not even put him on the bench
-
Almost like siging a player who's hardly been able to get on the pitch due to injuries isn't the best idea. Who'd have thought it
-
well, well, well. Just after this post it becomes public that the keeper has failed a medical. COT strike again and some of you doubt us.

a VERY interesting message has just come through in the whatsapp group!
