Realistically, we'll almsot certainly lose; Dibbling, Ramsdale, Fernandes, THB & KWP - You'd like to think that they'll bring in a minimum of £80m. (Average out at £20m a head with KWP leaving for nothing). With a substantial amount of saving on salary in the case of ramsdale. I'd imagine that Sulemana, Tall Paul & ABk won't have the stomach for a championship season, so they will go - wouldn't be surprised if it was on loan. Then you have people like Larios, Bednerak, Sugawara, Archer, Aribo, Downes, Manning, Wood who I could also see leaving if we get interest and other clubs are willing to pay up. This could easily featch us another 20-30 million. You'd like to think, finacially, we'll be in a similar situation to that of the last time we went down - but we will have a few glaring gaps we'll need to fill. We'd be sensible to use the loan market, much like the last time - just less loyal to them if we get promoted. A few I'd be keen for us to take a look at; Broja Sainz - would be a massive statement. However massively unrealistic. Ben Doak - Given Sainz is unrealstic, a loan + option to buy would be a good deal. Good replacement for Dibbling. Jack Clarke - If Ipswich are still keen on Downes - is there a deal to be done with Clarke coming the other way? Josh Sargent - Old school number 9. One of the best strikers in the championship imo. Previously played in Germany, so you'd expect Spors knows about him..? Callum Doyle - Left footed CB. 3 previous seasons in the Championship on loan (from City) at Cov, Leciester and now Norwich. I wanted him the last time we went down. A loan + option? We're going to be short of goal, a very minumum, we're going to need to bring in a number 9 and a creative player behind him - a winger or number 10. I think we're a proper CDM short, especially if Downes leaves. and we'll need a new GK and RB as I don't have faith in Bazunu or Bree over the course of a season. Something like this as a core squad I'd be pretty confident (depending on the new) ; GK: New, Bazunu, McCarthy or Lumley RB: New, Bree CB: New, Stephens, Edwards, Wood, new, LB: Wellington, Manning or New CDM: Downes, Charles, new CAM: New, smallbone L/RW: Armstrong, New, Edozie, Fraser CF: New, Archer, Stewart

Disgustingly underrated manager. Mainly becuase he's ugly as fuck and doesn't play propaganda football. For any side hunting for Promotion or a newly promoted side could do a hell of a lot worse than appointing him. Nothing pretty, but sets the side up to gets points, not praise from hipsters on Twitter. Unfortunately I can't see us moving for him - would be a good candidate for Leeds if they don't go up or Ipswich if Mckenna moves on.

Maybe not for you. He's done a brilliant job at Sheff Weds. Much more impressive than the Job Martin done with previous clubs.

He's their captain and plays every week.

Ivanovic has scored 6 in 30 games this season. He may be a unit, but hes not the level of striker we should be going for imo.

THB was one of the best CB's in the championship the season before we signed him. It didn't need hipster apps and fella's in chinos and blazers to tell you they'd be good signings for the club.

Yes, its going to be a long season I think. We're weaker (somehow) at the top of the order with the loss of Vince and lost consistency that Abbas brings to restrict sides to lower scores.

Koeman done pretty well with Everton in his first season when he had Lukaku up top. Lukaku then moved on and I believe they had Giroud through the door before a late change of heart (call from Chelsea). Koeman then went on to be sacked. Talk about sliding doors moments - had they signed Giroud, I think Koeman would have been incredibly sucessful there.

Juric being equally as shit, just in a slightly different way, doesn't make Martin any better.

Personally, I don't find losing everyweek "good football". Give me 30% possession and a 1-0 win every day of the week. I'm sure 99% of regular match going fans would rather see a body on the line clearance and a solid 50/50 than they would 30 side to side passes that end up with a goal kick (or in our case, a goal to the opposition).

Who on earth are you expecting us to attract? we're a side who's about to break the all time PL low points record. We're not flush with cash and we need a rebuild. Rohl, being a "mid table championship manager" (7 points off play-offs) with a side like Sheff Weds is an incredible achievement. They are a side who were almost certainly going down when he took after last season.

Have they not done that though? This year alone, they've hooked out senior memebers of the ownership board. Appointed a new DOF. Thats fairly substantial changes. It'll take a while for those new figures to make an impact, that being said, its a big summer for the club.

Odd feeling that we'll get something from this one. 2-2. 1 point closer to 12.

Taylor has previously played LCB in a 3. Personally, I think I'd rather see us play ABK (if Juric is being honest in that he see's him as a right sided CB) instead of Bree and Taylor at LCB. Nothing against Bree, but we need to try something a little different and i think its obvious to everyone that bree isn't a PL player.

We've got some high value assets which should inject some much needed funds for a re-build. We have a plenty of good, top end, championship players so only really need to add a little bit of quality to have a really competitive side. That new DOF has an impressive CV, looks a really solid appointment. Russell Martin got us promoted, so its not as hard as it seems.

He wont be next season and realistically, if we "get rid" it would be to strengthen one of our rivals. Imo, it would be absolutely brain dead to "get rid" Let the new manager (hopefully Rohl) come in and see if he can win him round.. He'll be vital to our sucess next season.

Weird. Of anyone, Dragan is probably the last person who deserve stick. Which is why I don't really get the SR out mob. He's put his own money down and we've spent, relatively speaking, fairly big in the past 3 years... so you have to give him credit for that. He put his trust (too much of his trust) in the wrong people, wether that be Rassmus, Kraft or a combination of them both. He's clearly in the process of addresseding that by kicking them both out of the club and brining in this new german fella as director of football. Lets also not forget that they've been royally stitched up by a couple of DOF's in their time with that little bald fella (lucky escape imo) and Wilcox jumping ship at the earliest opportunity leaving us hung out to dry. This is not me being a SR apologist or anything like that, the last 3 years have been chaos. I'm not convinced they have a long-term strategy in terms of how we want to play and we seem to flip-flop whenever the going gets tough. However, there have been some sliding doors moments which have been a big factor to that. Imho, I think SR will come good and its better the devil you know at times. We need to agree a style of play and stick to it. Build the club or set of SR clubs around that style... If one manager leaves or fails, we don't then have a squad capable of playing 1 style being forced to play another. For me, the best approach is to go back to the direct, high pressing style we previously saw under Ralph. Its much easier and afordable to buy players for a style that requires little more than heart and athleticism. Bournemouth are a great example of that.

Much like Armstrong and a few others, he's simply not quick or strong enough for this level. The step up in physical attributes is absolutely astonishing. The longer this goes on the harder it is to see hiim ever playing for us again. Someone who'll jack it in and throw his toys out when the going gets tough, isn't the sort you want in your squad. Its a pretty embarrassing set of circumstances all round really and to think all of this is for fucking Ipswich...

The jump between the championship and PL is big enough. The jump between L1 and the PL is way to much - as we found with Baz. A loan to a decent championship side was sensible all round.

I actually think its been a bit of a disastrous window. We're down, so i'm not too bothered about who we did or didn't sign.. We've added a player to the squad in a position we didn't really need, but I'm more concerned that we've failed to ship out the deadwood and end the window with a big bloated squad still.

Its hard to say who will / wont be here, the club seem to be completely scatter gun in their approach and everyone seems to be for sale. We should have a pretty decent kitty, you'd be niave to not think that we'll sell Ramsdale & Dibbling, with it being very likley we shift on others such as THB, Paul, Sulemana, Aribo, BBD, Bednerak, Fernandes with others probably also going Archer? Armstrong? Downes? Manning? I think Wellington will probably go out to Turkey if they continue doing well. A team something like this I'd be pretty comfortable with; Manager: Rohl Bazunu, McCarthy Suga, Bree, Edwards, Stephens, New, Wood, Manning, new Charles, Downes, new Armstrong, Edozie, new Archer, new With a few others added in, that a solid championship side that should be fighting for automatic promotion. Personally I'd like us to take a look at Jack Clarke - not getting games at Ipswich. Tangana - Been brilliant at Millwall. Tyler Morton - Brilliant at Hull last season a few games for Liverpool this season, needs a move imo. Then a SR special in no10 and no9

Feels like there could be a try before you buy option for a youngster for next season. I still feel like were a CM short - maybe a number 9 as well.
