  2. Just for a moment, I thought : We *are* due a 9-0, but I imagine we'd have to have scored 5 or 6 of them before losing a player and getting the rest. It was a nice moment...

  4. It was found still in Don Revie's pocket.
  5. Able 🙂
  6. Unfortunately can't be that, as it was part of the end credits of It Aint Half Hot, Mum, which will possibly not be considered appropriate today (or even then). 🙂
  7. Once we're free of the shackles of being in Southampton, why settle down? We could have bespoke pop up ground and training facilities, ever ready to maximise our pulling power for the most important things in football for players: seemingly access to good food, night life and not too far from a nice home. Southampton Wanderers has a lovely ring to it. 🙂
  8. Health and safety risk, surely? You start with that and you end up with chariots being set on fire in no time too. 🙂
  9. Thanks for that OB. Like many, Sims was one I was hoping to break through. I was really surprised he wasn't picked up. Glad to hear that other clubs are still in touch and we've been doing well by him. Let's hope his 2022 is as good as his 2021 was rubbish. Threre was a fair bit of above and beyond shown by medical staff to former players in the Physio themed Secret Footballer book. There's often quite a bond players have with staff they trust.
  10. Improving geography and cup competitions go hand in hand. Whether it's the early rounds of the UEFA cup or an FA competition. 🙂
  11. Just saving all the goals for Ipswich hopefully. Mind you, I'd happily settle for another goal like Kendall's. John Boy Saint's sum up of the keeper's body language is just right. No chance. I noticed Man City also had a weakened team out, due to injuries, againt Chelsea. Just the 11 internationals and 5 more on the bench. 🙂 They had a couple of excellent chances, but were well beaten.
