PL too tough for him. He's a Parma Violet. 🙂

The CoT is abused into silence, and look what happens. #inCoTwetrust

Is that the reason the deal didn't go ahead, and Sylla will be joining the WSL, or a pop at another poster? 🙂

That makes it sound seedy. 🙂

Still, it's a distraction seeing all the players wearing jetpacks. 🙂

He only got a cameo this season to show prospective buyers he was fit to play, after the failed medical. We'd not have seen him otherwise. From his appearances, it's not raw talent that's the issue. But if his attitude and professionalism is in doubt, then others are going to always be ahead of him. No manager here rates him. The club clearly want him gone, and that can have a bearing too. He still has an accounting value, so they will look for something back, until that's no longer the case His PL and Championship wages are a massive incentive to stay, and limit suitors too.

Odd, I don't recall this conversation... Now to read other comments to see how our buy one get one half price player sale is going.

I know that's what I thought. So, I had another look. In the interview, he does go into some detail as to why. Martin had set up to do similar passing movements, but without going toe to toe with everything City's better players were doing. As a result, City, had a little bit at the end where we could have got an equaliser, and they hadn't put the game beyond us. I think it bothered him they hadn't been well ahead, and even had the risk of losing a couple of points. So it comes across as a comment about that, and a style he likes to see. But from a position of winning lots of games, in which we were an annoyance for 5 minutes.

I'd prefer to read "detectively challenged" to "stupid". This obviosly doesn't apply to my user name >cough<

The Bath academy sat outside the PL catchment area rules. More in the link https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24366542.southampton-confirm-famous-bath-academy-centre-set-close/

As soon as he said that we play the way they like to do, the penny dropped with all the other clubs. "Hey, why don't we just cuff them the way we did Martin's team?"
-
Perhaps his possession football isn't extreme enough. Perhaps he needs a consultant, who he has already said he could learn things from. Step forward Mr Martin!

Welington just started and already you're seeing him getting the boot. 🙂

If anyone needs any details of this, just DM me. Every moment of my direct involvement in PL games, is entirely in my mind. 🙂

Just a few comments, as I'm "nearly" about to launch a manned mission to Mars. 🙂 If success in the Championship, is getting promoted from it, then Martin is a successful Championship manager. If being a successful Premier League manager is at least getting points to stay in it, then Martin is one of it's least successful managers. After that, there can be endless discussions from how talented individual skill dug out points for us throughhow effective control was to build from to how successful it would have been with different recruitment. When I first saw it, I was wondering if there was a transfer on the go. But it does seem to be a result of training/ performance. Since nearly everyone was poor under Martin this season, he can't be that wedded to that system. I was hoping we'd see Downes kick on. In the way Fernandes has, just further back. There's minutes there for him, if he can adapt to Juric's asks. Generally agree. He could have gone at a number of points the season before. But with SR's money, he still ended up without a striker replacement and no Romeu. We'll never know if better recruitment would have got us a bit of momentum and reenergised him to continue.

Looking at the pace of the Forest goals, I didn't see any of their attacks that would have benefitted from JWP being there. He might have thought he was moving to a side that would have to hold on in games. Not the case. it is getting more difficult. But this season saw a side with money all recruitment and suicidal tactics, a side on their second consecutive promotion and one looking over their shoulders at PSR breaches. Other sides might have more of a chance.

If he's having to man mark pacey, very strong and technically among the best forwards, then there are simply times when he's going to lose out. That applies to all defenders. The team have to adapt to coping with opponents separating them out and then capitalising on man marking. It's just another example of our tactics switching around, leaving some players looking a bit exposed. Inherent risks in the system.

Possibly the realisation of how long he would have to wait for his next win, dawned on him. 🙂

Yup, the old lulling everyone into a sense of false security trick. Cunning of SR. 🙂
-
Whoa there horsey! 🙂
-
That bit closer to getting past the Derby record. And a league win for Juric against the side that got in a few players we could have got in ourselves.
-
C'mon. Get the win.

Peak Draper over peak Prutton. Like others, I recall Prutton's promise, not being played all the time in his best position and then checking out with his suspension. Draper not fit, but probably still gets the nod as the player I'd depend on, if he was.

I was going to answer your post, but then wondered if I was falling into the trap. 🙂
