That wasn't 60s and 70s, though. '89 to '93...

Conceded a soft goal. But an instant response and a cracking strike for the winner. LBC did put some pressure on later on and end to end for a few minutes at the finish.

Adam Armstrong - Official: Loaned to WBA
Holmes_and_Watson replied to Harry_SFC's topic in The Saints
Super signing for any team looking to push for promotion from the championship. He said his target was not only to do that, but just to get games. So, not part of Juric's plans for the rest of this season, as first choice. Since he's worked with Mowbray before, tactics won't be an issue, and he presumably likes working with him. So, a super move for AA too. He might be hoping WBA put a bid in. For us, we'll see. If we play any sort of system where he's a decent fit next season, then he's a great asset to have at that level. -
Plus points. Someone who's coached a team had an idea of what was needed. The club did at least try to bring people in. Sadly, like so many windows those gaps remain. Hopefully, lots of work going into addressing the gaps for the summer. If it's not Juric in charge, work to decide what it is they do want and work on those targets.

Yeah. I wasn't too disheartened to see some of the names linked away, but with nothing at the end.

Considering his record last season, it's no surprise to learn a lot of clubs would look to bring him in. SR are going to have to decide what manager and system they want going forward and try to stop lurching from one thing to another. Partly that's due to them looking for up and coming managers, which hasn't proved successful in PL, as well as recruitment and overall approach, not helping either. AA could be a very useful player to have next season, under some systems and not great in others. SR have to decide what they are doing.

If he didn't touch the ball, they could try pretending he was a clever pitch invader. 🙂

Not Juan Club then. 🙂

I thought that was Ted Leaso, a soccer ball manager you could hire for the month.

It's a Takaoka that you pay a sum for each month, but never fully own.

Hopefully, a lot of the exciting home games in the National League will be home ties for the first half of that season.🙂

A good heart along with sweeper keeping should see Baz okay. 🙂 Good to see him back fit from injury and hope he develops further on loan.

Kevin Danso now at Spurs who have an obligation to buy. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/13301531/kevin-danso-transfer-tottenham-sign-lens-defender-on-loan-after-hijacking-wolves-move-for-austria-international

Norwich are still in with a play off shout. They rely on Sargent, and could well be a bit stuffed without him. I don't know if they've brought anyone in, but that's going to be unpopular there, if there's anything behind it. Odd.

PL too tough for him. He's a Parma Violet. 🙂

The CoT is abused into silence, and look what happens. #inCoTwetrust

Is that the reason the deal didn't go ahead, and Sylla will be joining the WSL, or a pop at another poster? 🙂

That makes it sound seedy. 🙂

Still, it's a distraction seeing all the players wearing jetpacks. 🙂

He only got a cameo this season to show prospective buyers he was fit to play, after the failed medical. We'd not have seen him otherwise. From his appearances, it's not raw talent that's the issue. But if his attitude and professionalism is in doubt, then others are going to always be ahead of him. No manager here rates him. The club clearly want him gone, and that can have a bearing too. He still has an accounting value, so they will look for something back, until that's no longer the case His PL and Championship wages are a massive incentive to stay, and limit suitors too.

Odd, I don't recall this conversation... Now to read other comments to see how our buy one get one half price player sale is going.

I know that's what I thought. So, I had another look. In the interview, he does go into some detail as to why. Martin had set up to do similar passing movements, but without going toe to toe with everything City's better players were doing. As a result, City, had a little bit at the end where we could have got an equaliser, and they hadn't put the game beyond us. I think it bothered him they hadn't been well ahead, and even had the risk of losing a couple of points. So it comes across as a comment about that, and a style he likes to see. But from a position of winning lots of games, in which we were an annoyance for 5 minutes.
