Incredible that we only lost by one goal. They should have thrashed us. Different class. A lucky game for the underdogs.

Janny B is going to the Euros. Good for Saints defence confidence for the rest of the season.

If a sub scores 2 winning goals that doesn’t necessarily prove that he is a good footballer, or that the manager knows what he’s doing. We could win the league and get relegated next season.

Martin looked close to tears when asked about Smallbone in the post match interview. Maybe he cares as much as all of you.

I quite like Martin but for those of you who don’t, maybe we could replace him with Maresca. With that defeat at home to QPR, apparently he’s lost the dressing room.

FA cup, Russ says it’s the best cup competition in the world. A cliche but maybe it is for us Brits. I started supporting Saints as an armchair and then student supporter, back in the 1970s. The challenge is to play the reserves supplemented as needed by first team players. The magic combination and the desire to win. Come on, let’s go for it.

Martin rotated the squad. Gave the reserve team players a chance to prove themselves. Unfortunately Edozie, Mara and Charles aren’t up to it at the moment.

Just watched the post match interviews. Both Fraser and Martin said how well Downes played. Maybe a replacement for JWP without the free kicks.

In his post match interview Downes sounded rather puzzled by the booing. He needs to toughen up and get used to running the gauntlet at Sr Mary’s.

Goal 1 was a fine pass from KWP.

The players look like strangers. They need to play together more. Maybe the international break didn’t help. Lots of games will be good I think.

Were Harwood-Bellis and Charles better than Bednarek and Stephens? I’m not so sure.

Work in progress. Better than 9-0 and 5-0. Leicester look like a Premier League team. Saints don’t.
