  1. It was these songs that got me hooked n the mid 70's - many a time you would end up a good 10 rows down the terraces from where you started. I wondered what was being sung but couldn't quite hear it in the Chapel/Kingsland corner but it looked good fun....

was it just me but i also thought Chris Perry had an awesome game today. Nothing truly spectacular but i don't think he did anything wrong. Stuck his head and boots in every time and contributed to a solid team display. I also said to tne guy next to me when Ollie came on....'this should make for an interesting last few minutes....!'
  3. Confirmed on O/S now - complete with photo of him in Saints kit. Come on you reds !
  4. well i was there at lunchtime 12.30 today. 4 booths open and a queue of 30 the whole time i was there. Took me 15 mins to get to both. Girl said very brisk for home leg and only a few left for away leg. Plenty left for Ipswich tho.....
  5. whinge, whinge, whinge. There we were, 7 months ago, 1 week from total oblivion. I'll take a wembley final this year and promtion next. Thank you and good afternoon.
  6. are you sure it wasn't section 30? That's the one always used for football (anticipated violence in a particular area etc.) Sec 44 is for Terrorism searches.
  7. went past an hour ago, roads in town are absolutely fine, no snow, just wet.
  8. In AP we trust..... Huge gamble in my opinion then who am I? I still think he's awful but hope to be proved wrong
  9. all the more reason for making it a sensible price. Get your tin hat on Keano - you'll need it after slagging us....
  10. Good draw, gives us a fighting chance as underdogs. Expect a good crowd again if the pricing is sensible. Keep it below £20 again and could be 23 K ish? Up the Saints.
  11. I am praying one isn't for Antonio....
  12. strange atmosphere - very quiet apart from the Northam and they weren't at their best. Very poor match only livenend up by Rickies free kicks and the comedy football show from Antonio - he really is very bad, in fact he is worse than that. Am i missing something ? He just is terrible. Still a win is a win - shocking miss from Luton that could have meant an interesting finish.
  13. Pards says on the OS that he will play a strong team - I agree - winning breeds a winning mentality. On another note, I remember going to regular games up at Kenilworth Road in the 80's (before the M25 !) when we were both in Div 1. (as is the premiership to the youngers on here...) Remember a really, really foggy 3-3 draw with Shilts in goal. I think they scored in the last few mins or something. I also remember round about 1990 getting a ticket after they banned all away fans following the infamous Millwall match. Saints won 4-3 and there were about 40 of us Saints dotted about the main stand. I think Matty and Rod wallace banged a couple in...but can't be bothered to dig out my history book. The place is a real dive, one of the stands you enter through a house ! Hoping for a Saints win but believe me this will be a tougher test than we think and also Luton will bring a fair few fans. The FA Cup also tends to bring out a few nutters. !
  14. they are being completely outplayed by Arsenal who are playing some nice stuff
  15. blocks 32 -35 in kingsland have been opened. Just bought 3
  16. I had us down for a draw at best in this one. We lost - move on. Work in progress and I am still confident we will be there or thereabouts at the end of April. Interesting to see the movers and shakers in January. Happy New Year everyone - I think it will be interesting to say the least. !
  17. Personally i think this is the next hardest game to leeds. They are direct and physical. I will be glad if we get a point. Anything else is a bonus
  18. lymington times also quotes £3 k a week and it was Thomas in the dock explaining about the travelling. Who knows? Could be elaborate story to avoid a ban but it is quite a lengthy piece of reporting and the magistrates took pity on him.
  19. Quite a revealing story in the Lymington times on Christmas eve this week following his speeding offence which took him to 12 points. Instead of disqualifying him from driving - his solicitor pleaded that he needed to drive for the sake of his sick child that his wife and he look after meaning regular hospital visits to Bournemouth. He also stated in court that his contract expired in January 2010 and that he is likely to be going to a Northern club on loan meaning a long commute. He had investigated the option of a driver but it would be too expensive. It would mean them staying up North for the two or three days a week. The way it apears is that Thomas is resigned to moving on bearing in mind most of this was said under oath at New Forest Magistrates. The magistrates then allowed him to keep his licence due to these mitigating circumstances. (he has 2 previous speeding convictions and one for using a mobile) Thomas lives in Hinton, in between Christchurch and New Milton near the A35. Taken from the Lymington Times so don't shoot the messenger...
  20. Just tried to book 3 tickets together on line and the only blocks available were 37 in the corner or 12 in the opposite corner !! What's the attendance likely to be ?
  21. and me makes 4 ! Got bo****ed for reading it instead of playing the Wii with the kids !
  22. OS site says so....
  23. Chapel End now completely sold out......
  24. They have a heated pitch so extremly doubtful unless there's 2 feet of snow in the ground or around the car park which the health and safety Police numpties declare as 'danger to fans' ?
