  1. 100%. Was a stonewall penalty. Appears VAR isn’t much good to them either!
  2. He’s certainly left well and don’t think any Saints fans should have an issue with him in the future. Over the years I’ve heard a few little stories which support the idea that he’s a good guy and stayed humble off the pitch. Although he frustrated fans and became a bit of a whipping boy, he did have some good spells. My memory is rubbish with specific times, but I’m sure he had some decent purple patches here and there. Perhaps he was a victim of these spells as he seemed incapable of keeping the standards up once he’d raised our expectations. He did use to annoy me when after missing a chance or doing something rubbish, he’s then grin like it was a joke. I’m sure it was just his way of dealing with it. I always wondered whether him and Bertrand had a bit of a love/hate relationship
  3. Can’t wait for my fall from grace if that’s what happens!
  4. Adams battled really well today against a physical defence. He really didn’t stop. Should’ve scored his goal but otherwise did well. AA and ME are pretty useless in attack. Ely particularly should’ve played Adams through but seemed to have no idea. Aribo looked most likely to combine with che. Salisu and ABK were generally very good. ABK might be threatening Benali’s goal scoring record though. KWP has the ball almost magnetically fixed to his boot. Quality player and much the strongest of the two full backs today. Diallo is such a disappointment. I’ve always hoped he would come good, but just knew we’d suffer with him in the team. Shame game wasn’t played pre 1/9 so OR could’ve played. Bazunu took up great starting positions to snuff out attacks early. Commanding in the air and good kicking (though a tendency to go long too often). sooner we get to see none of Diallo, AA or ME in the first 11 the better
  5. I actually notice a few times in the first half that AA was tracking back excellently. He seemed to do great defensively….then be less convincing once he actually had the ball!
  6. Lavia, BK, KWP and Che were all fantastic. Jwp much better in the second half after a quiet first. Though Aribo worked hard throughout and was a decent out. MD also did admirably at LB considering it’s not his primary position. thought Bazunu should have some better for their goal. good away support throughout and rocking at the end.
  7. I sincerely hope that whenever this happens the player automatically loses a weeks wage. The way things are these days it almost wouldn’t surprise me if that’s not the case though
  8. They’ll put you on a list and you collect them from the ticket office there. Easy enough
  9. Has anyone received their tickets yet? I'm still waiting
  10. My main thought is it’s rubbish we’ve been put in the position of having to potentially agitate to get rid of him. what I mean by this is that he did do a decent job and was well thought of for some time. Since then however it’s all gone wrong and shows no signs of being reversed. the board should see this and should have replaced him at the end of last season, which would mean there was no need for the fans to protest. I don’t like us singing to our own manager about getting sacked, but it’s the best way of showing the board we disagree with their bad decision. If they had have just done the obvious thing then the unedifying situation would not have happened. In a way, a draw is a bit of a worst case result. It’s not the three points we wanted and probably doesn’t add to the chances of Ralph being replaced
  11. Be weird if he was convinced. It made sense Tina coming as he was unproven at this level so the chance to play Premier League football was legitimately better than playing in their u23s. It’s different for CHO as he would presumably think he’s shown enough to not have to drop to the team who were 15th last year. It’s a come down from Bayern bidding £30m a couple of years ago. Perhaps he’s also been reading on here?!
  12. No offence but… If he’d been here for just 1 match you would be right. If last season was not horrific you would be right. If he didn’t have a long record of terribly poor patches with humiliating defeats you would be right. He’s being judged based on an ongoing run of form since the early spring. The fact he wasn’t able to turn it around last season is why people are understandably skeptical he will do it this year. We have spent £60m true, but are still a very poor squad and first team with no sign that the glaring deficiencies will be sorted by September. if he has 6 matches to save his job I don’t get it. Let’s say he gets a few decent results and enough points to meet the arbitrary points total the board have potentially set, that doesn’t make him a good manager or the right manager. We’ve seen he can have decent short term runs, they precede the car crash runs. Worst bit of all is I’m enough of a mug to being going to the Leicester and likely Wolves games!
  13. Our timing is so poor. He should’ve gone in the spring so we could plan for this season properly. If not before the end of the season it should’ve been the morning after the last game. If he goes in the next month or two all that time was wasted when the new man could’ve been getting to know players and put down new foundations. Not sure if he would have had any input in recruitment, but if so it’s again stupid we’re letting someone on his last legs influence transfer business when they are (hopefully) not going to be around much longer. He is severely past his expiry date with me. Whilst I don’t particularly have any genius name to replace him with, if the club did not draw up a potential list 3-4 month ago then they’re completely stupid.
  14. Hopefully it’s 20% of net profit on the future deal and not 20% of gross fee. That seems to be the structure I’m sure I’ve seen recently from other clubs.
  15. I've just been told again about Everton (originally said this last season). Apparently he was there over the last week or two. I don't believe they would have the money for it and I don't believe a better team wouldn't come in for his to gazump them for him. I'd be shocked if this happened.
  16. FF only one to come out with credit. He made some very good saves which make up from him being a bit flappy with crosses. I’ve been a big fan of OR for a long time but those misses were very poor and the first in particular would’ve made it a different game. forgot Broja was on for a long time in 2nd half. Every season I hope our poor finish will inspire more summer business. I live in hope…
  17. Watching Niemi was incredible. He was sooo good and inspired such confidence. I vaguely remember a particular highlight being a match against Arsenal when they were in their pomp. The other great thing about AN is the old call to TalkSport when the Scottish caller says it’s an outrage he’s not playing for Scotland. “Finish? He’s not finished”!! 😂😂😂😂
  18. Why are we signing Bertrand? It’s outrageous we sell Shaw and replace him with someone who did so little at Villa! Signing Kevin Phillips? Jesus we’ve really arrived! All the dross from 04/05: we’ll be alright now we’ve got these lot! Didn’t appreciate how good S.Armstrong would be. He exceeded expectations on a way Delgado failed to
  19. My bed washed away before kick off 😂
  20. What a disappointing lineup. Reading through the names it was tut after tut from me. having seen Boro win last night I’m really hoping we get through and draw them, but this line up does nothing to inspire confidence. Fingers crossed…
  21. Really can’t argue with that lineup. 3-1
  22. Who in the B team is considered most likely to make the step up? How confident are the club of signing Broja properly?
  23. Ceefax had a page with transfer teasers for all the teams. It would be vague few words with them trying to entice you to call the premium rate line to get the full story. I was always gutted I was never allowed to call the number! ”watching” football scores on there certainly taught patience
  24. Constantly being Mr Big by fronting up and saying they needed to do more, dig in, be brave etc etc, then played no different and did no more on the pitch. All talk and glad he’s not here any more. Compare to Romeu who just quietly goes about being a beast week after week, month after month and year after year
  25. Call me crazy but I’m optimistic we could get something at the weekend. Hope to God no Redmond! Same team if Ralph thinks they have the legs
