Just remembered the Everton great escape match....Could not get tickets, and could not get Solent up in Slough so drove down to Rownhams and sat on my own in the car park listening to the commentary !! Sad I know but it brings back happy memories of that escape that season !!!

Keegan signed - home from school and watching news round...mum heard me scream and came running in from the kitchen ! She could not believe it !! Saints put the sixth past Man Utd when Egil scored- Been in Ealing all day and got back to the car to hear the saturday sports report music followed by ' Newcastle put 5 past them last week , but Saints go one better !! Nearly crashed as I pulled out the car park !! St Marcus passes away - Dad rang me as I sat down with my son, just got back from work...very sad day Couple of others..... The 4-1 win v Liverpool - I was working in Smiths on a saturday in Ringwood, and was walking home normally, but my dad had come to pick me up ! Thought this was strange, and he had to tell me we had just stuffed liverpool 4-1 !! Benali scores-- In the bar at the Polish club in Slough after playing footy on the saturday afternoon - Teletext was on and the scorer came up as Benali ! I was in histerics and all the other guys could not understand why !! Plenty of great moments at the Dell or St Mary's, too many to recall !!!

Tried to post earlier but the melt down occurred . In shock and can not believe the tragic news . Seeing how happy he was at th JPT final always made me think he had fallen in love with the club. I hope they made him happy in his last year . RIP and thank you

Mentioned this on previous thread that his dad works with my brother. He is expected to move I think we a few champ and L1 clubs sniffing round. I think he would like a move to saints but no guarantee it would happen!!

Saw the Matt Phillips rumours... His Dad works with my brother - apparently there is interest from Champ clubs and league 1 clubs but nothing confirmed..He looks a good prospect and according to his dad, Southampton would be an ideal club for him ! Make of that what you will!

As I live in Fleet I really should be going - however like a tool I arranged to play golf with my brother up in Ayelsbury....Traffic was not too bad for me last night coming home to jn 4a from Slough ..the weekends are usually worst round airshow time I think.....

Half my family are from Bournemouth, and several cousins and their kids have season tickets and go to away games. Fair play to them too, as they have supported their team through some pretty crap times, and as a small club they have defied the odds. However, I have also met quite a few wannabe geezers who act like Skate fans giving it the big 'Scummers' bit...Remember the League/Littlewoods cup ?? Some of them still dine on that......anyway they will be up for it, and would like nothing to do us over, and like we have seen with some of the smaller trips away this season the billy big blox stuff may back fire on us.....However, I entirely expect us, should the event occurr to stuff them out of site......
