I’m sorry but it’s a two way thing, the team haven’t looked arsed for as long as I can remember. I put that down to the fact Ralph had lost them. Boxing days game was even worse than anything served up so far this season. They could at least look like they are trying and care! If you think the goons in charge read and give a toss about what’s written on social media then I suspect you still believe in Santa Claus. We need to give Jones a chance but he is on a very short trial period unfortunately for him. Regarding the atmosphere, we’ve not had much to cheer about this last calendar year but I’d go back to the Liverpool game - end of last season. They put out their second string, we went at them, got a goal and the ground was buzzing as we’d been crap for months, only for us to revert to type and sit back instead of trying to get another. Very soon Liverpool got some momentum and the feeling of “here we go” set in. like I said, it’s a two way thing.

I’ve never felt more disconnected with the club than I do now. I can’t wait for the season to end once again. I’ve decided it’s not worth renewing my ST after being talked into it last summer. I was at the Branfoot protests in the ground then round to the car park. Under Lowe it was vocal enough about how unhappy the fans were with him. Now there’s nothing. I was obviously younger then so perhaps it’s a generational thing that the generally more vocal fans have changed with the times.

Whatever happened to that lot? didn’t that Bull fella move away and stop going completely?

Someone is selling 3 tickets for this on the saints away travel page on Facebook if anyone is still looking.

Along with very unhappy fans

Playing direct requires some big lumps in the team, upfront for in play long balls and elsewhere for set pieces. Adams is a strong player and can hold the ball up as best he can on his own but we don’t have the physicality in the team to make it our game plan. If that is Jones tactics for the rest of the season then we are truly f*cked.

Mine turned up this morning, there’s a free drink voucher from the club for use in the ground.

Do you have any other gifs in your repertoire?
-
Semmens is the last person they can use as a buffer to protect Ralph. They’ve burned up all the other candles now.
-
Are you talking about P*rtsmouth?
-
It’s been time for ages now.

Putting Saints to one side, The best thing Ralph could probably do for himself is take a step back and reset with a couple of months away from the game. Reflect on what went well and more importantly what didn’t. Address his short comings and try again somewhere else, post World Cup in the new year. This whole situation is sucking the life out of the fans. It can’t be doing him much good either. It’s all feeling a bit toxic.
-
Absolutely, he seems to hit it straight at the keeper when you think he’s a cert to score. He did it again on Saturday.
-
Who said it had to be Selles? And I’m not talking about the Wigley situation in terms of time he was given. Just a figurehead for the coming game against Man City. If the owners are lining Ralph up for the firing squad they should do it now.
-
If the club have decided that his time is up, I don’t get the rationale of hanging on until his replacement is lined up. Do the deed and put someone from the back room in temporary charge with a statement confirming that is the case. Regardless of who we’ve got next Saturday, it isn’t going to benefit any party involved by dragging it out. As much as I’ve wanted Ralph gone for the last 18 months, anyone can see he has an affinity towards the club. It’s a shame it’s going to end like this. Walking away in the summer would have been a more dignified way of it happening.

It’s starting to feel toxic now. In the pub beforehand all conversations were about him going following a defeat. During the game all you could hear were comments about how poor it was and Ralph doesn’t seem to have the answers. His credit with even the most ardent cult members seems to be a zero now. I don’t see what hanging on any longer is going to achieve now. He’s not going to find the magic beans long term.
-
He’s definitely getting things right, after having no money to strengthen our weak defence for several years, we are only losing games one nil now. Ralph in for me.

This is the same as when vince cable used to predict a recession every year. The odds were he had to be right eventually. I’ll predict that Manchester United will be champions of England again one day.
-
I’ve never understood people thinking if we sack a manager we have to pay up the remainder of their contract. There will be break clauses inserted. There’s no way it would be for the balance of his contract.
-
At least Ralph will have an excuse for the next nightmare run…😉

Looks the the old ball boys/girls/persons kit at Wimbledon
-
Let’s see how it plays out in the next few games before heralding him as a genius….
-
I don’t agree with getting on his back during games but if people are still making arguments about it not being his team, or the tactics are employed due to the standard of players, blah blah blah, then you need to ask yourself how bad does it need to get before you change your mind on him.
-
At what point does Ralph become accountable? I’d just like to know, when he stops getting a free pass in others eyes? is it from the start of this season? Post Christmas, when he’s had the chance to bed the new blood in? Next season when he’s shifted more of the dead wood? jam tomorrow, changes needed.

I can’t help but think Leicester, Man Utd and Wolves will still be looking at us as 3 points on the board and a chance to build a bit of confidence. we usually rollover and let Wolves tickle our belly no matter how bad they are playing. I await this season’s edition as an expectant betting punter rather than saints fan. i will of course, be delighted to be proved wrong.
