Oh for goodness sake..it's a football match..if we lose we try again next week! If we win, we try and repeat the feat next week! Don't start a thread so negative!

I can't go I to any matches atm ....but I want to! Money and family commitments! When I can I will, and I really want to THIS season because I saw several dross matches last....I want to be entertained, and by the sounds of it, Saints are doing just that.

Good post, as always! Too many scaremongers on here. We all want 3 points for each match for teh rest of the season, but it is often the team, not the individual, that decide who will win. Our team is much more cohesive and united than last year, we have a manager who clearly promotes flowing football, we can all see the quality of some of the youngsters..all they need is time and we have to blood them fully this year to reap the benefits in years to come. Let Ollie play etc...we will benefit in the longer run whatever the result today, next week etc. We will not get relegated with this squad and management!

I'm bored too..whatever happened to LLS and Saint D? Where is the takeover? Why hasn't Paul Allen invested yet? Should Saints play in pink? Should I stop there? Ok I will! Whatever happened to insider gossip??

I will always support Saints, and can see the rationale for not getting too excited and raising expectations....but why not? Those who aim for the top are more likely to be there or there abouts than those aiming for mid table mediocrity! The players have already shown what tehy are capable of, as has the manager. They should fear no one, and go for it. I too don't expect them to win all the matches, but I see NO reason why I shouldn't desire, expect and hope that Saints should be in pole position by Jan 1st. Burley aimed for mediocrity and we sure got it! Winners aim to win and I think JP has got it!!!

West Ham, Newcastle or Spurs for me...at Home- not Pompey- hoped they're knocked out soon by Rotherham or some club of that ilk!

What you have to remember is that Gerby and Brum both got relegated and thus their confidence may be quite low...I know we weren't great, but our team is so different now and the philosophy is much changed. Hungry lads playing free flowing football could well shatter these other teams. Just look at this post at how the fans confidence is beginning to grow- think what it could be like after tanking Cardiff.....we could be in for a very good season..as long as the defence holds up!

Great guys for getting the forum up and running....I'm an avid reader of this forum, even if I don't always contribute and think it's well worth the money! Well done admins/Baj/Steve etc. With a great season to look forward to, and no crashing during matches ...let the entertainment on and off the pitch roll!
