  1. Stay up. For the first time in 2 years we have a manager who wont pussyfoot around. Shape up or ship out. We will lose some, but I'm confident we will turn the corner and catch up/pass the other mediocre teams. I don't expect miracles, so it may take a few weeks, but it will be evident on the pitch. Confidence will rise and I'm surte the players will start to believe in themselves AND each other (those that haven't been shipped out!)
  2. Interesting read- thanks- sounds great- finally a manager who won't accept mediocre/poor!
  3. Dear oh dear- what a sad lot of comments. It will take 6 months at least to improve the squad and for RH to stamp his imprint. Whether we stay up or go down, the club will be in better shape by the summer. My guess is that there will be an upswing in Jan/Feb as training will be less interrupted by games and confidence gradually restored. I believe he will improve the players he wants..whilst others are shipped out/loaned/reserved!
  4. I reckon he'll be gone after tonight- no evidence- just a feeling... only my opinion. As for Davies- at leats he was here in Poch and Kooman's time and knows the fitness levels that generated a more confident team...although probably several weeks before any fitness change in training translated to a Saturday.
  5. Ranieri? Where are these rumours...
  6. Get Wenger in as manager ..then appoint DoF.
  7. Try for Wenger! Go for it. Would lift the whole place. Or Vierra.
  8. Sadly...in some ways...about time. Remember his positive contributions...and look ahead. We march on!
  9. Managers - who are the options? Ranieri ( at least would garner respect), Bruce ( no fool- good at getting promoted from Champuoinship, Howe (may be difficult to prise away), a foreigner in the mold of Emery or Tuchel, a recently retired player in the Lampard/Gerald mold? Surely there is a better option
  10. Lack of fitness is a key result of poor training and management. Fitness leads to being able to compete for 90 minutes. This may help kickstart a bit of luck needed to get points. The players clearly have little confidence in the current regime and must be very frustrated (those that remember Poch training like JWP or have been at a top club like Ings) or not now any different (not bright maybe). They have to do as they are instructed- so do the instructions needs to change? Yes. I believe we have some good players who are underperforming. They are not world beaters- but with a wind of change could be nearer between 8-12th even his season, though I'd settle for 17th again on the basis that we can improve with the right set up. It's time the club's leadership did some proactive actions- sadly meaning yet another manager change + also re thinking our coaching strategies. We need someone with a clear vision and fire in their belly- and a modern approach.
  11. Totally agree. The first two affect the last two. The first is critical! Surely the club still have the blueprint/videos from Poch's time at Saints and how he got them super fit!
  12. I am confident we will win too. 2v0
  13. Go get him in!
  14. Good read. Thx
  15. Strangely I too feel he fits...I think he will do well here.
  16. Any stream?
  17. Get that man on the bench- come on foir last 10 minutes- would lift the crowd if nothingelse. And if we get a penalty...
  18. Yes I would. Fans know what he is about, youth and experience + I recon he'll want very much to return.
  19. confidence is low, but performances are definitely improving in that chances are being created and goals beginning to come. I would say a win against Leicester is essential- and the belief could then flow. Defeat and I really can't see us getting out of it.
  20. Snowed in in North Herefordshire. Travel safely everyone.
  21. Cup Who remembers saints being second in league one...not everyone...but all remember (or know about) 1976.
  22. Would Celtic let their manager go?
  23. Ok which manager is available? Hiddink?
