  1. Mate, everyone is depressed enough…. (it has been discussed. And is (one of) the areas of concern.)
  2. It’s funny. Not that I particularly disagree with you. I’ve struggled by and large to enjoy the style of play - even last year.
  3. I genuinely wonder what the odds on saints not scoring this side of Xmas? I’d be tempted to have a punt.
  4. Maybe he was tired from knocking off Lucy Pinder and got defensive? Being told you look tired is a funny thing to be prickly about. Most people would just go, “yeah, I am a bit”
  5. I’m guessing Edozie was offside before his pass? He was off screen so hard to tell
  6. Have we tried tall Paul in goal ?
  7. I *think* it was because we signed him as a free (so no fee) and hold his registration - if he does well and someone buys him - then that fee is pure profit.
  8. Is that temporary or permanent? Any noise about filling the vacancy? Or is there no longer a vacancy?
  9. Has there been any news/developments in terms of a replacement for Wilcox? Who is undertaking his duties ? Or have we decided that it was all a bit unnecessary and he was deadweight? also, what’s happened to the forum search function? (Granted I might be being an idiot, but I couldn’t find in on my phone)
  10. As in - this is how many points this 11 will get in the prem?
  11. If Ings comes in and scores 45 goals and fires us to champions league glory then job done. Bunch of absolute melts on here honestly. /s or… he’s aging, injured often, on high wages and has scored 3 goals in 2 years. (Or similar) so it appears it’s much more likely to be a shit signing than a good signing. I’m pretty sure that’s what people are reacting too.
  12. Re Ings - I really hope not. We were lucky to get shot when we did. He’ll be a busted (and injured) flush on high wages clogging up the squad list. At least he could keep LND company. It’s gonna be a long poor season if this is the calibre and quality of any recruits.
  13. I’m glad we’ve won. But it’s so so so frustrating. So much ideology about controlled possession and passing football. We have 30mins of control (possession surrendered by the opposition) then they start to “come into the game” Then we stop creating chances and start giving the ball away just before the halfway line after 3/4 passes around our back line. They miss a couple, then we concede. Half time. More of the same. Some subs. Slight uptick of possession but no real chances. They keep missing half chances from us needlessly gifting away the ball. They score. More subs. Less control and no real chances. Then the game descends into end to end chaos. Maybe we score a late winner maybe they do. It’s so fucking frustrating. anyway we won today. Yay.
  14. Well, That was fucking dreadful. Again. So many times we beat the press with our defence, cut players out only for the midfield to pass back and put the defence under pressure, killing momentum and bring opposition players back into play. often we receive the ball in space in the middle, elect not to move into said space and pass backwards. But I thought the whole idea of passing backwards was to create space to utilise. im beginning to think this Martin guy doesn’t actually have a clue. The insistence of playing Stephens and having no proper LB means that we always come inside, have to take a touch and are facing inside when receiving the ball. It kills the left hand attacking threat completely. blackburn were fouling and being niggly and breaking up play but they probably looked the most likely to score. Dire, and very Boring to watch. And worst of all it’s just so so predictable. Who wants a bet that the next game will be more of the same?
  15. There’s always a certain skew to statistics when looking to analyse and make a prediction. Interestingly it often suits the agenda of the person doing the analysis… interesting stats - but I’m not sure about their argument that their advantage is “massive” because we have to play top sides and they play lower league opposition - their analysis conveniently ignores the fact they’ve (relatively) struggled to pickup all 3 points against lower league opposition so far this season. So I would suggest that means they are far from being “bankers”
  16. Good first half. More direct at times, good pressing as a team. Sulemana was really good - skill and awareness. We looked solid. 2nd half not good. Back to slow passing. Less pressing. Didn’t really create anything and kept giving the ball away and putting ourselves under pressure. We do this thing where the defenders hold the ball and invite the press, plays the ball hard to a midfielder who then fires it back even harder at the defender who just passed and is still surrounded by pressing players : requiring that they have an amazing touch to get out of trouble or the ball goes loose. It’s obviously a thing they’ve been told to do - but it’s infuriating. If the midfielder just took a touch and turned we’d be so much better off. Thought aribo looked like he was running through treacle.. so immobile. pleased with three points but lots of work to do.
  17. Gah, I’m feeling so bored and over it. I had a season ticket at the Dell, been supporting since the 80s. been home and away. Season ticket in champ and league 1 during the wotte era. Suffered burley, pellegrino, branfoot, Jones. i couldn’t even be bothered to watch or listen yesterday. Just feel done with it. Shite football - obvious tactical flaws that aren’t addressed. Weakened squad year after year with obvious gaps in quality in the squad that aren’t addressed…. I don’t resent losing. I resent being gaslit with positive comments about how we are playing better and that the fan’s negativity is to blame. The football is objectively bad when taken as a whole 90 mins. The results are even worse. That’s bad enough. Just don’t lie to me. I think I’m gonna take a break for a while. 🙈 Life is alright without this shite ruining my weekends. 😂
  18. why oh why did we loan out onuachu to then spend the entire game slinging in crosses and corners to our players that have no aerial presence? it just makes no sense. made it way too easy for ipswich to defend.
  19. I'm not even sure i want him sacked yet.just that interview really concerns me - just as much as the goals we've conceded (again)
  20. i can't class as "on top" when we've barely created a chance that wasn't a long shot all game. Ryan Fraser chance the exception. also passes and meaningless possession don't mean anything when you're 3-1 down. thats just game management from leicester - be compact and make us play in front of them and hit us on the break. i think they had other chances during that period too, before they scored.
  21. thought id post here too: maybe more appropriate ive just watched RM's after match interview. I think he's just had his own nathan jones moment. utterly delusional. *"much better performance than sunderland" *"that we were on top second half and that we just didn't take our chances" *that hes proud of the players (twice) *If we move the ball like that and play like that then we'll be more thank OK" (is this where were aiming? *that there was no real difference between the teams... absolutely no awareness at all. (very very concerning)

  23. i think that was the *joke* / point
  24. How’s that bookmark looking mate?
  25. A good win. But not a good performance really. I think QPR could be rightly disappointed. Its encouraging that were picking up points despite the obvious areas where we need to improve. The first team needs investment and players to come in and improve it. Thought Fraser, Downes and Arma did really well today.
