But did we win? Or just not lose? 😆 did we not lose because the opposition fell asleep watching jack complete 92 percent of his 600 4 yard passes per game?! this could go on forever. ultimately its happened. we have to live with it. Best bit is - Im looking forward to seeing the goalie with the worst shot to save ratio in the world /s (but also not /s) between the sticks again
-
See, I actually think you’re right - and he must have some perceived value around the club as they are paying him a lot of money to be there and for longer. I don’t have a problem with that bit really - I have a problem with an arguably poor quality player (proven with a pretty mediocre career and stats) with stupid disciplinary problems being captain and therefore pretty much guaranteeing himself to be on the pitch and an important part of the 11. We should be aiming for better. I want to improve the team not reward a historically bad season. I don’t mind if they think he’s good for morale and the dressing room. Let him put the cones out. As he’s captain he’ll play.

I think therein lies the real problem…I was hoping hoping hoping that finally we would have people at the club that might look at the past few years of failure and maybe look at the players who’ve “contributed” and come to a different conclusion 🤗
-
Oh yeah, you’re absolutely right. Stats can be made to say anything. Except in this case…, I couldn’t make the stats say that jack stephens was a good player 😆
-
Does anyone know of other IPTV suppliers with a decent level of service and channels?

Apologies if this has been done before: after a long discussion with my brother about the merits (or lack) of jack stephens as a saints player. I thought id do a little research : conclusion. he’s completely a player that has lucked into having a top flight football career. He’s played 164 times for Southampton in 14 seasons… and only 243 pro career games and never more than 28 appearances in a season for us. Other than a high of 28 appearances in 2019/20 he mostly averaged about 19 games a season when he has played. Otherwise his career is a succession of league one and championship loans whereby on more than one occasion he couldn’t break into the lower league club’s first team. He averaged 16 appearances a season across these 5 lower league loans. overlaying his appearance history with the fortune of Southampton fc - I would suggest that the worse we’ve performed (and the worse the first team was) generally the more appearances he’s had. so. But he has experience I hear you cry: well 243 games in 14 seasons… compared to THB who has 163 in 6 seasons and Downes who has 220 in 8 seasons…. I’m not sure his vast experience counts especially when you look at minutes on the pitch…. I started to look it up but I basically then lost interest and then I just decided to despair that we decided to give such a poor player the captaincy and a three year extension at the age of 31.

We need to FIGHT, and WIN

Yeah it doesn’t bode well. My service expired yesterday so I can’t log in. Are the streams/service still up?
-
Interestingly, their support/admin contact has changed from saintsplayer support to deleted account. The other channels VOD requests seem to be functioning..

I also haven’t received a reply - normally they’re pretty prompt

Or Marek Saganowski. (The less said about his permanent signing the better though)

This is exactly it isn’t it…. pelle and mane, to Ings and Adams, to Adams and Armstrong, to Armstrong and onuachu, to onuachu and archer. theres definitely a downward trend all over the squad. It’s almost like expecting “squad players” to improve your first team once you sell the quality…

Saints 1-2 Arsenal - Thank F**k it’s All Over Thread
imadirtyurchin replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
24 years?! I was in the Milton road end when that went in. Absolute limbs. Good memories. That saints team would smash this one. blimey le tiss looks unfit though 🤣 -
I can’t believe Cleverly is seriously in the running for the job. He’s had 59 career games as a manager and managed 20 wins. Only 5 wins in 2025… this can’t really be the level we are looking at with no one better identifiable in the entire footballing world… Still is a risk, and I’m not convinced- but at least he’s managed a reasonable number of games (for his age) imagine the atmosphere when we lose 2 games in a row or don’t score at the start of the season. Could all unravel very very quickly. Personally I’d have Ralph back, loves the club. Experienced. Can play good football given the right players. He’s probably too divisive amongst the fanbase - but on purely a career/experience level he has to be an outstanding candidate.
-
So we’ve decided not to cross the halfway line pretty much all game - be surprised if we had 10 touches in their box, plus 5 at the back. Defensive subs…. And we still concede 3 goals. What utter utter bullshit this season is. Sick of all these twats. I actually think I don’t want to break Derby’s record. These cnuts deserve to be tainted with it. It’s the fans I feel sorry for.
-
I speak too soon, he’s just spaffed an easy pass back out for a corner. Brilliant
-
Absolutely dreadful “performance” - so fucking dull. No attacking ambition at all. No quality. Misplaced passes all over. Has Ross Stewart done anything in any of the games he’s played? I barely remember him touching the ball. Makes Cameron archer look dynamic and physical.
-
Definitely playing the man not the ball there.
-
Spurs line is red. Saints is blue. That’s why. (Edited: you already realise this - and it’s not the question you asked! DOH) but The spurs players shoulder is allegedly further forward. (Make the colour choices make sense though)
-
Fixed that for you.
-
Back for just long enough to remind the hierarchy that he’s here - so that they “don’t need to buy a new striker” before getting injured watching TV and disappearing for another 2 years.
-
at least it didnt happen at our training session. Juric wouldve selected it in a back 6. tbh, might be worth giving it a go.
-
I was ‘Martin Out’. I was hopeful in juric first couple of games. This is the same but just different, no discernible tactical plan at all other than man mark everywhere and play as many people out of position as possible. Martin had to go. Juric does too. And so do most of the players. Luckily we’ll keep Stephens, Smallbone, Fraser bazunu, and lumley.. /s
-
Let’s just bin juric off and get rusk back in
