I think the pride has gone, like 2 years ago, when the players stop trying. We haven’t got to that point yet, but it could happen. I would try to get Potter (Graham, not Harry although maybe we need a magician …), but I do feel more positive where we are today than last time when I though with the players we were heading towards League One, again! However, I don’t think Martin is a clown like some and certainly does not warrant the abuse whether in person or online.

When, in 1985? Tell me one top class manager that does it today? Actually, scrap that tell me one manager that does it today? So every manager in football today is getting it wrong?

It is a very disappointing result but I do think some perspective needs to be given. Fatawu came on and was top, top class. That shows how good the EPL is - it is a huge step up with all clubs spending millions on the best players in the world. It is always going to be so hard. On here we have had suggestions about leaving 2 on the halfway line for corners. No-one does that, not even Pep when they anre 3-0 up. Also suggestion about Fraser coming on to shore the left side up. Well we all saw how they worked. I don’t agree with giving the ball away in stupid positions and I do feel the ref could have cost Martin his job with our penalty shout, but the players are working so hard to get a result, so they cannot do any more and credit has to go to Martin on that as they obviously are still playing for him. Some of the insults going towards him are over the top. Personally, I think with the players we have we could do a little better with another manager (but maybe not), but not enough to stay up. However, I will always be thankful for the day in May as the best day I’ve had at football.

So I wasn’t the only one transfixed with the clock! I think I spent as much time watching it in the second half as the game itself 😂

Wow, I feel like I played the 102 minutes on the big Wembley pitch!! Absolutely drained by the end of that game. Amazing support and amazing atmosphere. What a game, thought we shaded the first half and them the second, but we defended magnificently the whole game. The whole team played well and worked their socks off. As a Saints fan for 45 years this is a day to remember!! We’ve got to enjoy these moments as we don’t get too many of them. Enjoy your celebrations tonight folks.

Drove it this morning and traffic was a nightmare mid-morning. If you are driving this route I’d leave very early.

Been away all week so had ticket roulette when I got in. Thankfully they are on the doormat, so that is one drama avoided. Now let’s go for tomorrow and all get behind the Saints (including Rishi for this one day only special!!). COYS!!!!

Glad I wasn’t the only one sent into panic mode due to the stress of the website! Now into postal panic mode … one tip, I got a failure with card payment, but opened a new window and it had saved my selected tickets so went through the payment again.

Got my tickets but in blind panic selected to get them by post!! Like most hoping Royal Mail come through, but anyone have any idea what happens if they don’t? cheers Rob

Sorry cannot agree with this at all. It is knock out football. We were no way crap. Play the game and what is front of you and do what is needed to win. We controlled the game away from home and put ourselves as favourites to win. Not guaranteed to win, of course but still in a great position after the away game . We are Saints, not Man City, RM …

Can’t believe the negativity here. After first 10 minutes we have controlled this game. Totally removed the impact of their crowd. Yes, there are players we all do not like and some disagree with the style of play, but every team playing away would be happy with the score and 64% possession. What are people expecting, us to batter them 5-0 with 99%!!

Can we just get a manager that can get in the players to stop us gifting goals. Big mistake by THB, but it is abundantly clear to us all that Stephens is not one of these players. Get a good defence and build from there!!

I also too think Charles has been very poor, giving the ball away far too easily. I think Lumley, Stephens, Bree and Aribo have been the best players trying to play the way RM wants us to plays.
