2-0 and making Ten Hag Manchester United look like Real Madrid. Started well but same old same old.

Mistakes could be avoided through a better balance in defence. This would mean disposing of a centre half, instead opting for a flat back 4. Bring a proper left back into the team (C. Taylor) - KWP is good but his use of the right foot, cutting inside, is inevitably leading to us facing inwards and more passes into the defence. Not only is this not needed; it is leading to more possession for the error prone Bednarek and THB in recent weeks. This would mean sacrificing one of Suga or KWP, unless you wanted to play the latter higher up.

Really sh*t, well done.

The 2008 summit I mentioned was specifically on NATO expansion into Ukraine, not states which had decoupled from Russia long before politically - in 2004 and had since joined the EURO. Culturally of course, like I have said, the comparison between their refusal on grounds to joining NATO / EU is completely different to Ukraine, which is still in the Russian sphere of influence (religion, people’s, language; a full century before the countries you cited) Aggressive expansion - though I don’t know where the word “aggressive” came from - would stop if the West would have left the situation alone previously by not consistently calling for Ukraine to join years before. The benefit of Ukraine joining NATO and the EU ceteris paribus is only based on Russia itself - a modern day pseudo-Containment made to antagonise through western influence. What other benefit is there? Would be absurd to believe this is simply because nice nice Ukraine (who reached a record 104/180 on the anti corruption index last year) wish for free markets like the papers and Boris Johnson wish to believe.

You can’t seriously be comparing the historical ties between Russia and Ukraine to that of those 3 countries.
-
Hardly a just comparison. NATO expansion clearly did play a part in the Russia-Ukraine war. Clinton should’ve played a larger role in getting Russia onside, instead choosing to continue as enemies. Putin, who said as such in 2008 (that further expansion would lead to his want to invade), was ignored. Farage is right. Farage also says Putin was at fault and a tyrant wanting to invade. The two opinions can go together. Ukrainians I know who have come into my uni have the same opinion as this.

I don’t know what effect these men will have upon the enemy, but, by god, they frighten me.

I believe I remember him from training with a Botley based football team eight or so years ago now. He was very kind and easy to talk to. I’m sorry for your loss, may he rest in peace.

Does that count as an assist?

Honest question. Do you trust the club to purchase a competent keeper in his place? Gunn and Bazunu still haunt my mind. I’ll add to this Martins insistence on Bazunu makes one doubt his ability to identify a great goalkeeper, if he has any say at all in the process.

Best reads have certainly been in the form of @Wade Garrett, but that seems to be most people’s pick. @tdmickey3For his full time employment of replying to and getting annoyed at every COT post. Fair play sir, what a waste of time. Must say though, I am disappointed out of either @Turkish or @AlexLaw76 (and maybe a few others), no one has adopted the profile picture of Rasmus Ankerson post match trophy picture with cigar in mouth. Can’t seem to be able to post it on here.

Prediction time: We’ll keep one of these slots open until deadline day for Flynn Downes. West Ham will look to hold onto him for a prolonged period.

I believe there was a strong distinction between criticism for the owner, Solak, of which there was none, and Sport Republic, of which there was genuine questions asked. From the top of my head most of these posts were in the form of feeling bad for Solak having spent a lot with these lot in charge.

Ho-Lee-Sh*t that was close. -
Genuinely dreadful

I think it’s a good idea and it isn’t as unpopular with the youth as you’d presume, especially in the current world climate. Also it’s hardly full national service as majority will pick the civic service / charity work if they’re that opposed. Baffling as to why it’s come out now though.

Flynn Downes, he's gonna break your f*ckin' legs

Was going to do one to "Maybe its because i'm [or hes] a londoner". Only to search it up and find out he in fact isn't from London.

I have a season ticket with an away and didn’t get one due to the website not accepting these facts. Area I wanted (which my mates are in) sold out way earlier. Happy to settle for TV as long as saints go up 😇 -

Don’t be fooled. The club are using Friday as a test of bringing in some noddy European-style Ultras group. I’m for welcoming the team bus, but now they’re actively encouraging multiple drums inside the ground. English chants are casual not ultra, we don’t need a der der der style drumming to go along with it FFS. I didn’t get my IN ticket for this game due to problems with my account, but hope the atmosphere isn’t dictated by drumming to the tune of he’s a kenyan victor wanyama and Rickie Lambert Southampton goal machine for 90 mins.

Sounds like something Alan Partridge would say
