  1. He obviously meant the context of the situation not that both abitrary things were EXACTLY the same. You do realise movements in any given stock are directly influenced by news right? So it's common practice for companies to release a 'story' to influence a 'long' or 'short' movement... I know you like clarification so to dumb that down it means up and down. Players agents do the same thing and it is literally exact in context.
  2. I'm going to regret this but I can't help it. Are you suggesting the stock market isn't/doesn't get manipulated?
  3. He's not tarnished here, I wouldn't say. He's not doing a Nivea is he? I don't think anyone is that arsed he's leaving. I'm not. I think the general consensus is: nice bloke, good player, good luck.
  4. Got TalkSport on in background. Club v country row over Van Dickhead brewing. I can see a massive fall out on the horizon ending in tears with him refusing to train or play and shithouse his way out of the club. Haha. Let's hope so.
  5. I asked him this on Twitter a while back during first lockdown and he replied no, but it was a pretty pointless question because he's hardly going to say anything else is he really.
  6. Can only agree with this.
  7. Is this a new youth scouting setup we have? I don't follow U23's / youth football at all...
  8. His agent probably is. That's the whole point. If you don't think agents do this then I've got a bridge to sell you.
  9. To get interest in his client for a start. Danny Ings has had more press today than he's had in ages.
  10. Is that a serious question? Seriously?
  11. They're going on about it right now on Drive. This sounds like a load of bollocks to me. This has come all of a sudden out of nowhere, to all over the airwaves, this just smacks to me of his agent leaking some bullshit to get a move. I (personally) don't give a shit if he goes, he's 29 and gets a decent injury every 2 months. He can leave. But city? ..... Really? Fucking bollocks this is I reckon.
  12. This argument is all a bit pointless because regardless of what point of view is held, nobody on this website (at least I hope not) is going to be sitting there come semi-final day going "ohhh I hope we lose". We're all going to be glued to the TV hoping to get to the final. Unless we're getting thrashed.
  13. My interactions with their fans have been they don't like playing us. I know a few United fans (actual mancs and not plastics) including my brother in law who is a Manc aswell.
  14. United fans hate playing us though. We aren't a great team for them. (Before the 9-0)
  15. No offence to anyone but who the hell in their right fucking mind wants to watch stories of noncery. Bad what happened but I wouldn't watch a program about it. It's like my girlfriend, she's has this fucking weird interest in serial killers, she watches all the documentaries on that. I don't get it. Fucking nutters.
  16. This fixture is winnable for us and it's going to be down to which Southampton team turn up on the day. If the Southampton that beat Liverpool 1-0 this season turns up we'll win this match. If the Southampton Vs Leeds turns up, we'll get battered. Need to see the team lineup.
  17. Thing is, I see the similarity but Harry Kane is in a different universe imo. Kane even with his injuries you're guaranteed 20 goals a season and he's done it year in year out even with his injuries. Danny has had one season. Spurs will want a fortune for him, because it will take a fortune to replace his goals. Spurs without Kane are a mid table team.
  18. I might well know your mate. I didn't go to school with Danny and I don't know him, I'm a few years older but I went to the same secondary school as him. Hamble. That would explain the loss in form after the January window shut... I don't think that moves going to happen now, not City.
  19. Yeah, I really can't see City and that's not to discredit anyone with knowledge, but do City REALLY need to go for Danny Ings even as a backup? And it's not even like they might do if he's cheap, City don't need to bargain shop but they aren't going to pay over the odds for him either, and I think what we paid was probably over the odds @£20M and it would still be over the odds at that price. He's 29, get's injured often and less than 18months left on his contract, he's a £12M player. I can see Spurs or Leicester. And my personal take is, if City win the CL or the Quad this year that's Pep done there, I think he'll move on. Even if he just wins the CL he's won everything here after that, what else does he stay there for? And Brendan Rodgers I think will end up at Spurs because I can't see Mourinho being there next year.
  20. I need to see what team we put out before ruling ourselves out of winning the tie and knocking them out of it.
  21. If he wants to go City, it wouldn't be right to begrudge him that. Would be a bad move if he wants game time though. All the best and thanks for 37 goals.
  22. Of all the players that left that one was the most galling. Especially considering Sissoko went for the same money in the same window.
  23. True but considering what happened we should have made an exception. I don't know what's true and what isn't but showing VVD round houses, meeting Klopp in hotel rooms, offering him terms while under contract and if even half of that's true we should have said the whole lot in one go. I'm probably dreaming but I was fuming at the whole thing. This is taking the thread right off topic though.
  24. I cashed out mine last year and everyone around me did aswell bar 1 bloke. It was blindly obvious fans weren't going to be allowed back in for ages, I had £120 quid in my account and cashed it out.
  25. Well doubt that. Thought it was revealed Liverpool signed him in installements and that still isn't finished. That deal really should have been cash in full. Fucked us around, tapped him up then let them sign him in installments. I thought that was a fucking shambles.
