We wouldn't have put 5 past them with 5 men.
-
That's fucking dire. Who are we competing with for scouting? I presume all the London clubs are within catchment + Brighton. I can see Brighton attracting talent due to lifestyle offerings...
-
Really? They've just put 5 past Chelsea in their own backyard and they're only 8 from safety. It's not a foregone conclusion they go down. Also, I would like to extend my welcome to the Premier League Thomas Tuchel. We've been expecting you. 🤣

If Ings ends up at city he'll be paid double or triple what he gets here and he'll win trophies. He'll be on the bench a lot though. Good luck to him. Can't really see City going for him unless it's cheap. Say £20m.

The only players in recent history that have looked like they've had anything about them are: Sims, Reed, Slattery & Tella and to an extent Vokins. Hesketh has always looked about 2 stone underweight. The best at this moment is Tella. I liked Jake Flannigan aswell but he got too many bad injuries.

This. However, would you want to stay at a club with a manager who only has confidence to play you in 'nothing' games? I don't think Ralph fancied him before the United game and probably only played him under pressure from above after the Transfer request outing.
-
Probably not what you're talking about but I'd like to see Hop House 13 or Moretti. We'll probably end up with Carling or something...
-
It's not straw man when you quote my entire comment and not just half of it.
-
I think most people apart from covid denier nutters accept that. However, what do you think the answer is then? Stay locked in forever?
-
Also what do they mean by "introducing contactless payments"? They've had that for ages...
-
I didn't get it probably because I'm no longer considered a holder considering I cashed mine out. Who's the new drinks provider. I quite liked the watered down Kingfisher piss...

He's dead.
-
I read that as Ralph saying he isn't good enough for city haha. Well done Ralph. That's basically what he's said without actually saying it.

1. How old are you? 2. Have you had the vaccine? I'm somewhere between 25 - 35 and was invited for the vaccine (our practice is well ahead of others) but I declined it as my mate died of a blood clot in his head 3 days before my appointment, that I thought was due to vaccine, but turns out he never had it. But it just freaked me out a bit. However, that's a rather cavalier attitude you have there....

Nobody is downplaying the virus apart from nutters like Matt Le Tissier. I'm certainly not. But at some point, life has got to crack on. What are we supposed to do? Sit indoors forever?
-
I'll tell you what, nobody is staying in. Have you seen the traffic on the roads and motorways now? It's back to 2019 pre covid levels and it has been for at least a month now, I genuinely think people have switched off now. Especially the self employed, like me and my brother in law. Everyone was told to stay home half way through fucking December then no grant was available an announcement was made about it on the 3rd march that the 4th grant wouldn't be available to claim until mid April with payments expected until the end of April. Johnson: "brace yourselves for a third wave and cases are rising". Wow.. No shit. I mean seriously, what the absolute fuckery did the govt expect the result to be? People have bills to pay, rent to pay. The slogan should be "stay home, save lives, don't pay your bills". They simple cannot, CANNOT extend this pass 21st June there will be literally anarchy. I think the govt have been completely oblivious to public sentiment the whole way through the entire pandemic.

It was always going to be our game that got picked. It was never going to be Chelsea v Man City. Would have been carnage.
-
Southgate doesn't have enough player respect. Imo. What's he ever done? Missed a fucking penalty and a series of adverts...
-
I don't see anything wrong with that. When I'm employed by a company I'm not expecting my boss to talk to me, ring me up, or anything else at any other time other than when I'm at work. Same goes for footballers, Ralph is their boss. I think people forget this is their job, he's their superior, he's not their mate. Footballers get up, go to work pick up their paycheck. That's it.
-
That's fine. But here's where that argument falls down for me... Why name him on the bench then? He's been an unused sub in at least 3 games since that and for him to not get on the pitch in the FA Cup V Bournemouth that we'd easily won was criminal. I'm not convinced by Ralph's handling methods, it seems with him it's '1 strike and you're out'. If Ralph has no confidence in him after Man United then Jankewitz should be allowed to leave and no further involvement in the first team squad.
-
Southgate is great v piss poor sides, play a side a bit above rank average and he gets found out. Who genuinely thinks we'll get any further than the quarter finals at best in the Euros?
-
Don't understand the stick he gets from some of our fans. I really don't.
-
Yes, I know that. That's why I said: 'the plus side is...'
-
Playing Phillips & Rice together is overkill, I think you only need one of them. Plus side is, Poland haven't got anywhere near our box.
-
He'll probably leave in the summer and I wouldn't blame him either.
