  1. Nice lay off to Viafara for our 2nd goal though. He should never have been first to step up for that penalty though. Like people have said, the atmosphere was absolutely rocking in that away end, one of the best I've been at. We had everything in our favour going into penalties with them down our end and the momentum from that last minute goal, but we just couldn't get over the line in a big game.
  2. What memories do you have of the last and only time we've ever played in the Playoffs against Derby in 2007? We had quite a bit of momentum going into the playoffs as we ended the season strongly to guarantee 6th place. The first leg we lost at St Mary's 1-2 with them injuring I think Bale and Jones in the process? Surman had scored to put us 1-0 up in the game. I remember Billy Davies over celebrating at the end and the club website making a big thing of it at the time, how the tie wasn't over. The second leg at Pride Park was a real rollercoaster of emotion and still to this day I don't think I've ever celebrated a goal as much in a ground as when Rasiak scored in the last couple of minutes to take the game to extra time. Until I watched the highlights below I'd forgotten all about Leon Best own goal.
  3. Russell Martin confirmed at today's press conference that he'll be on the bench at Leeds all being well.
  4. I sit in block 37 so saw it all unfold, and it certainly distracted the fans getting behind the team.
  5. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24221657.southampton-supporters-express-anger-steward-commotion/ Expecting incoming picture like this from the fans involved next week
  6. Own up, who's one of the board bangers in block 36 who got thrown out today and went absolutely berserk? I'm sure we'll be seeing something similar to this on Monday in the Echo
  7. I'm sure Preston will already have a fixture to play that weekend?
  8. I'm awaiting the "win f*CK all" song shortly
  9. First rendition of "is this a library" it's what you love to hear
  10. Few honourable mentions Matt Oakley Jamie Redknapp Matt Robinson Kevin Gibbons - would always be throwing himself at women in jumping Jacks in the early 2000s Ken Monkou Dani Rodriguez Kamil Kosowski Jan Paul-Saeijs But has to be Stig Johansen for doing this on his signing photo
  11. Oh they've been doing the Adam / Stuart Armstrong song at home games this season. It's dreadful. Hand movements as well by some
  12. What blocks are the family stand?
  13. I'm not clicking the link but based on the Robben comparison within it, I'm guessing Lee Holmes is coming back
  14. I hear he's a #7, exactly what we need
  15. "Phil Parsons Wooooah, Phil Parsons Wooooah, he comes from Man City, he farking hates Pompey"
  16. The club should hire the father and son who sit front row of block 36 and do a snycronised banging of the sponsorship boards whilst looking and singing at each other to choreograph our fans at each home game
  17. Can't we appoint Nigel Martyn as goalkeeping coach, then we can sing (Hands in air waving) Russell Russell Russell Russell Russell Russell Russell Martin (Hands pointing towards the ground) Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel Martyn repeat
  18. Or maybe a Tomasz Hajto number 7, making runs like a steam train from right back?
  19. Mick8 who I believe was Mick Channons son used to post a lot on Saintsforever.
  20. He loved a kit, but Gecko Saint designed the 06/08 shirts from memory?
  21. Does anyone remember SAF he was the Saint Rob of his day, before twitter was a thing. Wonder what became of him? Who was the guy who designed kits? Gecko Saint? Looking back at it, it wasn't a bad time being a saints fan. Used to go in pubs on away days and you'd know a fair few people, or if you didn't you soon would from their username on the back shirts. Wasn't there a short lived Saints Away Supports SAS set up to run coaches to away games? Remember a few of us going to Blackburn on the coach and the female steward who was on Saintsforever confiscating our beer 🤣 I literally can't think of the username but I can visualise them clear as day.
  22. I recall one of my friends also a regular poster on Saintsforever back in the 2000s made an account pretending to be a female Southampton fan. The number of messages he got from certain admin and other members at the time welcoming the account to the group was very amusing. Comments like "if there's anything I can do to help let me know" and messages trying to strike up conversation 🤣 Sadly they were quickly sussed out and banned.
  23. Back then it was the trend to have your Saintsforever username on the back of your shirt. Recall seeing shirts with Al De Man, Rule Book Ric, Lady Saint, SandLMoore on the back along with others I've probably forgot
  24. Couple of others There was that guy who was obsessed with Leandre Griffit, believed he was the next Thierry Henry. Don't recall his username but he had a haircut like Toadie from neighbours when he was first on the show? Ewell_Saint was an interesting character as well. Sir Pav who was an admin on a power trip. Loved an !!!! After every sentence. I seem to recall an account set up called Pavs Explanation mark
  25. Gemmill Squibby Colin_T Griff (RIP) SaintTim Great away days and nights out in the early 2000s with those guys. Few people who used to post a lot Pompey Lass Pompey Chimes SAF SaintTana POTS Lady Saint Um Pahars Maverick Caged Tigers CurlySaint POTS Sister can't remember her username Giordano - remember him turning up at a saintsforever Xmas party (yes they were a thing) wearing Leather trousers and a vest, top bloke. Javi - he'd randomly be in the pub at away games thinking he was some local celeb. Probably think of some more.
