    Claude Puel

Naughty , naughty reviving this thread. The mere sight of the topic headline will have sent panic through the masses. 🙄😄😄
  2. I've never read so many nice things about Ralph on here as I have in the last few hours. !!!! But yes, time was up, thanks Ralph for your hard work and loyalty. As others have said 'those' two big defeats must have dented his confidence and put doubts in his mind, players would have sniffed that out, now we move on.
  3. Hereford 1. Pompey 0.
  4. My first ever autograph was Mickeys. . There's some great story's about how his football world and horse racing world clashed both in his and Laurie Mac's books. Not many have been so successful in two sports. Enjoy your well earned retirement Mickey
  5. Think we've seen very similar sentences before recently on here.
  6. I was in block 3 and there was a family sat in front of us, quiet no problem, enjoying the game, and a woman next to us started asking everyone near her are you Arsenal fans. She asked the quiet family and the young lad on his first visit to a game innocently said Yes, should add he wasn't wearing any colours so you would never have known it as he sat quiet but I think the rest of the family were Saints fans. That was it, she screamed for a steward, 'throw them out, Arsenal fans shouldn't be in here' . Well officially of course she was correct, but here's an instance where common sense should have prevailed. If anything had kicked off who would have been to blame??
  7. Ralph and our coaches got hold of them, showed them the playbook and it all went downhill from there.
  8. I like the description by Alfie House in the Daily Echo of the transfer window. Sport Republic and the Saints hierarchy were unsuccessful in adding a supercar but did bring in a fleet of reliable and promising motors while trading out some of their old bangers.
  9. 2007 ? 🙄. But yes, as you say, not just a good player but everyone who has met him says what a great guy he is. Always has time for the fans, takes nothing for granted. Even on the err .... let's say sometimes critical Saints Web !!!.... he escaped the usual grief over the years that the forum is famous for 🙄. Unusual in today's football climate but hardly ever heard a negative comment about him. A great farewell video from him. A Saint through and through. Good luck for the future Oriel.
  10. Just seen another identical post
  11. Should be quite easy to identify the Manc guy in the away supporters enclosure with the second flare. He didn't throw it, he stood there holding it for about a minute so every security camera in the ground could zoom in on his face.
  12. Not often I leave St Mary's after losing and pleased , well ok you know what I mean !! but so many positives to take from today. Thought all our new signings were really good. Adam Armstrong really starting to look the part as well, just needs a few goals. Shame the Utd idiots got in with the flares, so much for the searching the bags, poor ball boy in front of them nearly choked . !!!
  13. According to the Daily Mail someone called Hewlett scored our third and final goal in the 88th minute. Err !!!!! 🤔🙄. More reason not to believe anything you read in the papers I guess.
  14. Ralph's obviously having input into the relay race. 🤔
  15. Umm, really 🙄 !!!!! (Should add, that comment was made the day we were signing him and before he had played for us but even so, always best to wait and see how they perform in a red and white shirt !! ) Amazing how players are written off before they have kicked a ball for us. Not a bad defence splitting pass yesterday for WPs goal was it !!
  16. That policy certainly worked for Laurie back in 1983, runners up in the old Div 1 with Shilton, Mills, Nicholl, Rofe, Armstrong, Holmes, all thirty and above. Keegan and Case weren't youngsters either when they signed and they weren't bad !! (Apologies for harking back to the old days but you can see my point)
  17. You're right, problem is we've probably blown most of our budget for the season already
  18. Earlier on we were third in the table !!! Oh dear, what went wrong đŸ¤”â˜šī¸đŸ˜Ą
  19. Do you think it's worth me putting some money on that result ? đŸ™„đŸ¤ŖđŸ¤ŖđŸ¤Ŗ
  20. Iffy recently !! The season hasnt started yet. 🙄
  21. Bit more picturesque than the rusty old gas holders next to St Mary's.😁
  22. Continuity in staff makes sense in many environments but probably not in a football club when a new manager comes in. They need their own staff around them. Shame to see people lose their jobs but it had to be done.
  23. Poor old Dave, having to go out on such a shit show.
  24. Fonte, Ball, Case , all of them up there at the top but surely it's gotta be Peter Rodriguez, our only captain to lift a major trophy.
  25. Mines in the rubbish bin. Maybe I'll hook it out and smell it.
