  1. Then we have Bedenark to thank I guess. Just imagine if he hadn't scored that horror OG, we'd have probably gone on to win,the Welsh wizard would have said it's a turning point and .......omg , it doesn't bear thinking about !!!!!
  2. Enough moaned about appointing Shawn Dyce, Eddie Howe, what I'd give to have had either of them in charge the last few months.
  3. Tella hattrick at Burnley
  4. Well, as you posted this at 5.30am Sunday morning I'm guessing you had a sleepless night after the clusterfuck at Brentford, but yes!! an excellent summary.
  5. Wolves 2. Liverpool 0. Latest. ☹️. Is this one of those days when other results are going against us.
  6. Ah right thanks. Couldn't even find him on the player archive website. I thought perhaps he was thrown in as a red herring to see if we were all paying attention. 🤣😂🤣
  7. Didn't identify them all but recognised all the names except.......Who the hell is Mouez Hassan ???
  8. Let's hope the first question is .....'Why is the Manager not here to answer our questions and concerns'.
  9. Haven't we been saying that about every game since about October or maybe September even ? And we will probably be saying that right up to the end of season.
  10. Yes agree, looks promising. Is it only Saints web though where new players are written off after 45 minutes !!! Lad probably didn't even know his team mates names. Even at the Sunday morning standard I played at, when having new players alongside you made it difficult.
  11. You Dave Merrington in disguise ? That was his favourite sentence on Radio Solent 🙂
  12. VAR checking it for airside.
  13. A drone stops play. WTF ?? Can't one of our forwards kick the ball at it
  14. I also had a load of programmes many autographed from the 60 and 70s but sold them when I got married including the 76 cup final, like you a decision I later regretted ( selling the programmes that is not getting married !! 🙄 🤣😂🤣) Many years later they had a programmes fair at the church hall in Archers Road by the Dell, they had complete seasons going back to the 50s and a few beyond ( I think it was an annual event) and managed to buy a load of them back. Ok, they weren't my originals but better than nothing.
  15. McCarthy confirmed as Blackpool new manager. Not sure if that's good news or not for us.
  16. The club shop in the Marlands is apparently closing in a couple of weeks, so looks like the new commercial manager has hit the ground running.
  17. Any of the players not in the squad, injured or whatever I noticed seem to turn up about 1.30 in the Chapel carpark.
  18. Not forgetting to set off fireworks outside Lighthouse's bedroom window.🤣🤣🤣

    Lyanco

That post aged well looking at his form in the last couple of games at right back. 🙄. To be fair I would have probably posted something like that up until a couple of weeks ago. The old story, new manager comes in and sees something different in a player. We had it with Ward Prowse when Ralph came in, gave him a bit more agression, and now NJ pushing Prowsey further forward into no 10 slot, few weeks ago no one disagreed about him being left out of world cup squad but if it was being picked now ????? Yep, fair play to NJ and his coaching staff, the ones that are way out of their depth apparently !!!!!
  20. Great write up on trip advisor by the SFC media team on the hotel the team stopped at after the Scousers tried to disrupt the nights sleep 🤣 Rooms were brilliant, beds were incredibly comfy, and the blackout blinds and triple glazing... oh wow! You could literally have a firework display going on outside your window and you'd never know it. Best night's sleep we've ever had! "In fact, the only rocket we noticed all weekend was the one James Ward-Prowse sent into the net in the 78th minute at Goodison. We'll definitely be returning again."
  21. There's always one clever sod who has to check on Wikipedia and today it's me. 😀 Yep, you're spot on 👍 11 May 2003 The final competitive match before the closure of the stadium took place on 11 May 2003 with a Premiership match against Southampton. Tickets were sold upwards of £250 and a crowd of 34,957, about 100 off maximum capacity filled Maine Road for the final day. https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Ma... Maine Road - Wikipedia

    Block One

Yes, the police have objected previously to any plans that would involve away supporters having to cross the car parks to reach their coaches parked in Britannia Road. Logistically to reach their coaches the Itchen North corner would be acceptable to the police but i guess the corporate boxes below might be a problem.

    Block One

https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/23237149.ex-southampton-fc-steward-gives-view-st-marys-atmosphere/ Good letter in the Echo from a steward about how Block 1 should be given to away fans and the entire Northam end for home fans.
  24. Think we can assume Haarland will be starting against us as he hasn't come off the bench today. Lyanco will have him in his pocket though 🙄
  25. Yes, it was an interesting interview with Doswell. I appreciate he's a well respected local non league manager and big Saints fan but I would certainly have liked to see Jones calling out Doswells claims about ABK not being injured in his next interview with Radio Solent, maybe even ask for an apology. Would certainly show his players that he will stand up for them when needed, may even give him an extra few credibility points in the dressing room if needed.
