  1. Thanks. I use live-footballontv.com and it's pretty good and quick. Only up to 17 March after which I guess is an international break then the Easter games. Odd about the ones already moved although I guess they put Millwall on earlier for crowd issues. Match tickets yes, but hold on for train and hotel for me for now.
  2. Does anyone know if they are less likely to mess around with these games for TV (Middlesbrough home and Ipswich away) because of it being Easter and they are so close together? I can buy Middlesbrough tickets tomorrow so wondering how likely TV will affect them. I don't think they've announced end of March telly games yet.
  3. The stats about our away form v top half teams was creeping in from broadcasters who were trying to find something to discuss about our vulnerabilities. Part of their job I guess. For various reasons (mainly for the 3 points and our confidence) I'm glad we showed how we can dominate away against a strong team.
  4. Absolutely brilliant. My wife's family have fostered for 30+ years and it makes such a difference. I work in Children's Services and the lack of foster placements is sadly stark. The only options for many are miles from their home and not with a family but a care provider which just isn't the same. I hope this generates some more foster carers. There's some amazing young people out there needing a home and support.
  5. Had to do a lot of scrolling to find Ross. Features a fair bit in Sunderland doc on Netflix. Comes across well. Loved that his Dad paid 500 quid to get the transfer done when Albion Rovers would only pay 1k of the 1500 quid asking price from his non league club!
  6. I think we got Huddersfield at the perfect time for them to play very well and it to be very tricky for us. A big win at home against rivals, a caretaker who knows the club, and one who has instilled a go for it attitude likely freeing previously nervous players. I'm sure we all agree the win was amazing in terms of the comeback. But it may have been a decent win without all the craziness.
  7. Just saw that all our goals (og not included) were scored by subs. Strength in depth when we needed it.
  8. He gets a fair bit of 5 live work now does Jones. Doesn't talk complete rubbish but I think he has too many thoughts racing around in his head. That and wanting to sound better than he is. I only went to one game with him in charge. The cup game (Blackpool I think). I guess he was under pressure by then, I was very near the dugout and I've never seen a manager so out of control of his own emotions, up and down screaming at the players and his staff.
  9. That first half was amazing. I think we were brilliant, the runs into space and finding the runners was fantastic to watch. Ridiculous amount of space so not sure what went wrong for the home team despite our great play. Despite the yellow it did feel a bit of a luxurious sub THB for JS - bit early and the game not done. Like a Victorian whale bone shoe horn rather than the ordinary kind.
  10. Sick as a parrot, as expected sold out before general sale. Tough being too far away for a ST and yet wanting an away day now and then. I do like all the winning that seems to be happening though.
  11. And for those reasons!
  12. Yeah I read that it held that much before my original post. Like you say maybe BC are selling well enough to need space for home fans. Or segregation. I doubt we'd be reluctant to gamble on taking tickets on a sale/no return basis seeing how many we're shifting. I won't give up hope of 2 just yet!
  13. Thanks for the updates. I am looking for 1 adult, 1 child for this if anyone has spares etc.
  14. I am really hoping to take my son to this one for his first big away trip. Do you think 3k stands a chance of general sale? I read somewhere BC can give up to 4k. If that's correct I guess the club might see how it goes seeing as they have not said 3k is a final amount. Any pearls of reassuring wisdom please?!
  15. Cheers. I've been keeping an eye out for the final confirmation for Bristol City. Really hoping to go. I see they can give up to 4k to away fans, I hope we take that up.
  16. I've been told off by LD. A saintsweb achievement for me and so early into 2024!
  17. I agree it is simply unnecessary to have all 3 CBs on the pitch with the squad we have at the moment. Stephens may get games when injuries hit (like switching to CB today) but that should be it for the time being. Captaincy shouldn't come into it. This isn't cricket.
  18. I'm not sure about saintsweb posters interpolating the word shoehorn into posts about the possibly unnecessary squeezing in to the starting 11 of Stephens.
  19. I feel odd. Yes gutted about a late, late goal. But we're on a good run. Maybe because of that, plus how likely it looks to be play offs at best anyway, plus we're definitely still in credit as far as late, late goals go this season. And then there's the fact I'm not missing the division above our one at all. I've felt much, much worse about conceding at the death. A point today. A win next time.
  20. I think we had all of one home (league) clean sheet, v Leicester last season. Before that it was April 2022 v Arsenal. I think. It's been bad. 3 in 20 months. Good win tonight!
  21. It was a good game. I thought WBA were incredibly fast and had some very physically strong players and played very skilfully. The win shouldn't be underestimated. We almost weathered the 2nd half pressure but when we didn't we came back at them and took our chance. I was near their fans and it was a really good atmosphere. Everyone did well. Stand outs THB, brilliant. Bazunu, kept well and some of those passes! But all those who got on contributed. And those less popular, pleased for Holgate and Manning was good coming on late when the pressure was pretty intense.
  22. Understandably gutted and very complimentary about us.
  23. On the way home. Great support and brilliant celebrations at the end. I thought our superiority told as the game went on. First half was too slow. Second half we must have spent 95% of it in their half. We definitely looked for more openings than the first 45, played a bit quicker, and should have scored earlier despite nothing too clear cut. At the moment I like how we don't panic even into injury time, we keep trying to find that space for one last chance.
  24. If anyone wants to stay overground then London Bridge to New Cross is quick (about 6 minutes) and often, then 25-30 minutes to the ground. Maybe slightly longer walk than Bermondsey tube.
  25. Thanks have emailed.
