Trouble is, Mubama had a worse half an hour than Larin. We needed a similar player to Stewart coming in. If we wanted so much to bring in Mubama we should have at the expense of Dobbin, who can in no way replace Azaz either.
We seem to apply this in the majority of our games. No reason why they could have lasted until around the 70th minute mark. Just hands the impetus and momentum to the opposition. I could understand taking your best players off when three up, but not only one nil up.
Trying to be too clever seems a common theme in his career. Better to clear your lines than give it away to an attacker whose 10 yards away. Appreciate that's a philosphy from the 80's or 90's but sometimes it's a necessary evil.
