Terminated his contract - presumably without giving him his two months notice :smt102 I'm gonna have a guess though that he hasn't paid his rent since he's been in prison..... The judge that presided that case must have had two too many bottles of wine for lunch

That'll be a no then.

I don't want or expect your sympathy. My post yesterday was trying to highlight the pitiful way in which our country is run these days, with lawsuits being raised willy nilly, mainly due to the fact that large companies aren't prepared to defend their legal rights, as it is cheaper to pay for an issue to go away. Perversely the actions of insurance companies not providing protection for these houses also highlights where this country is going. However the flip side of that is that anyone who bought their house in a flood zone - I know when I've bought houses numerous searches are carried out, and houses that are in flood plains are specifically brought to the purchaser's attention - don't really deserve any sympathy [iMHO], as it was their choice to pay the price for the house, and their choice to take the risk whether or not a flood would actually happen. To go on the National News bleating that your house has been flooded and that you have no insurance quite frankly isn't an injustice, but [iMHO] is just plain stupidity. With regards to the [alleged] council houses being built on a flood plain, then surely that is the responsibility of the council that built them, and once again bleating on the news about personal injustices just doesn't cut it with me. However if they wanted to take some action against the council for allegedly forcing them to live in that house, then they would get my support. If the council built the house and knew that insurance companies wouldn't insure it, then the council should cover the insurance costs [iMHO]. And yes, I am alright Jack. I looked at one house which was a real steal, until I realised it was built on a flood plain. That is when I decided not to buy it, and bought another house somewhere else. My house didn't get flooded.

Frankly I think it is an absolute godsend that the likes of plastic/Wiltshire Saint don't comment their worhtless musings on every thread.

I guess it's the same principle of analogue [perfectly good signal], being 'upgraded' to digital. It will render a lot of hardware unusable, but I doubt there will be any court cases about it. While I agree with your sentiments that the manufacturer should continue to provide support for its products, I also agree that if we stood in the way of progression we would all still live in caves staring at paintings on the walls..... Besides £15 buys a product that is probably better than the one it is replacing... http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-5279.aspx

LOL then she would be housed by the forces..... Then maybe, just maybe he should carry some of the blame then??

A young mother in a council house, hmmmmm, I wonder if it's free.....
-
.... In her free house....

Probably a house that they bought at a knock down price due to that very fact..... If a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is

They're Welsh. It's not like they had no warning is it? The bloody weather forecast has predicted nothing but heavy rain and flooding for over a week now. Doesn't take much to fill a few hessien bags with a bit of sand does it? Just because some tourists got over confident with their 4x4 doesn't garner my pity I'm afraid - what on earth were they doing driving around in those conditions in the first place?
