To be fair it was meant as a flippant throw away comment regarding the maths and the fact that the money hasn't appeared for the alleged takeover. But, since we are turning it into a psychological observation, the question still exists; 'would you trust someone to collect your £1250 [+ £10 stake], from the bookies for you'????

Not sure I'd want someone collecting £1250 for me Oh and if four people did it, it would have been closer to £5k wouldn't it
-
LOL. You put £10 on a 125-1 [assuming on the nose], and walked away with four grand Now I'm not Rupert's biggest fan, but with comical numbers like these, I'm not surprised he's told Fulthorpe and co to bugger off!
-
So in not wanting to divulge any more regarding your 'conversation', did you inadvertently 'mistype' that bit about Fulthorpe?

At least this one hasn't registered on here. Or has he

Not to mention the Euromillions is £1.50 a pop so you wouldn't have got 14 lines

Don't discount the old S.M.A.R.T hard drive will turn itself off if it is on it's way out - had the same problem before and it registered excessive heat, but swapping the hard drive and everything returned to normal... Curious things PCs. Thanks all for your help and suggestions.

6 tickets on the Euromilions - the Mrs won a tenner on last weeks lottery so reinvested it... We won £23.20 So far in September that's £43.20 won on the lottery, with expenses circa £17. Not gonna be rich, but buys a couple of pints

And Now, The End Is Near . . . . .

That is a shame, especially if the new owners decide there is no need for a new stadium Also, I drove past the site of your new training ground last week - on the way to my old man's - and notice that you haven't even started any work. The plans have been OK'd haven't they? I would have thought you would be eager to get going as soon as possible, maybe Gaydamak has put that on hold too as he is selling up.... -
Can't see any reason why not. Probably another two years left in this one

And Now, The End Is Near . . . . .

To be fair, if you add the 'initial' £20m to the £65m worth of debts - which presumably will also need clearing since your 90% wage bill creates a further £25m of debt per year - then you have a total cost of circa £85m. I think that is a more realistic evaluation. So, about this shiny new stadium..... -
LOL. Sure, why not, it's not like he's said it before or anything.

So, does this make the new stadium more or less likely to happen. I'm going for less likely. -
And short sleeves.

I LOL'd.

I imagine the supermarkets have had most of it spent on beer and fags, since people have started defaulting on their mortgages :smt102

Basically banks borrow from other banks to lend money for mortgages. Washington Mutual has declared bankruptcy as it can't afford the repayments on it's borrowings - presumably it's customers can't afford the repayments to put it into this position. The US treasury is planning to pump in billions of US dollars to 'prop' up the system. But understandably they are arguing over it. If the decision is not reached before Monday morning, I would imagine a lot of investors will be selling their shares in financial institutions for fear of losing all their money, thus triggering a large scale collapse of the markets....
-
F::ck can a banking system collapse? Slightly worrying that the American tax dollar is having to bail out the whole banking system. If a deal isn't done this weekend though, the markets are gonna go crazy on Monday after the bankruptcy of Washington Mutual
