Depends how good one of them is in goal. And if the other can hit a cow's arse with a banjo better than CHe Adams...

Ridiculous things to say, and reminds me of someone saying something very similar, with a very similar avatar, on another ‘Not’ thread, then campaigning that they weren’t trying to bang on about his religion etc. Weird, that. But likely just a coincidence. At the end of the day, he needed a chance to get the players up to his tactics etc, and who givers a shit if he mentions God, if up to him, just weird being pointed out to me. Each to their own i guess.

You do know, you dont have to win a game to show you are getting better. We were clearly improving v Fulham, defensively better v Forrest (apart from the brain fart), and better v Palace. Then we beat City - another improvement. And well, not sure if you heard, we just beat Everton away, first time since 1997 - think that is another improvement. If it helps, you still got time to nip to Homebase and get a new spade for that whole your digging… Anyhow - Im not sure I got any more posts left for today, and dont want to revel in your despair - have a great evening - we actually won a game!

So, hows that no improvement after the Lincoln game working out for you?
-
Also interesting was how poor they were first half, the were utterly woeful. Wonder if their fans have been bitching as much directly at the manager as much as some of ours have. I think we have started to show signs of improvement from the Lincoln game which in reality , given their team/Div was worse than Forest, also considering the pressure for the latter was different. Im all for fans being pissed off at the football served up, and rightly so, but so few games into a new manager, it seems strange to me that the people defending Ralph for so long are so quick to jump into Jones - he inherited a demoralised team, that had piss poor communication from Ralph, that hadn’t really a clue how to play - that will take time to change. Though Leeds actually looked half decent , but still expect them to be near the bottom come season end. Leon Bailey is a weird one too, shows to me that some players/managers don’t click together as he and Gerrard never seemed to.

Im waiting for Sidney the Oracle the 3rd to give a proper comprehensive viewpoint, if you dont mind…
-
No, not accurate though, is it. We have played 4 games in 2 months, not 8 or 9, with 0 points. Im not saying this will work with him, but im prepared to see how we are over the next few weeks. Let’s face it, id be amazed if SR sack him right now, unless we don’t get a single win in that time, maybe they will act then. But not now, and he hasn’t had 2 months of games.

Orr the manager picked the right team to nullify Zaha, so did a good job with team selection? Hasn’t KWP recently come back from a long injury. Same with Lavia - liklely why they aren’t playing every minute of every match. I mean, KWP may be off, but credit to Jones he got it right on Saturday.

Hiya Os, the Politcis thread there is why i left, it spills over and carries on to other threads, they play the poster. This polls yep very one sided, I however think he shouldn’t be sacked just yet. I dont think it looks good, but he inherited a piss weak team, both mentally and physically, this is Ralphs team and whilst it may not work out, 4 games is unfair. I think give him til end of the month see what players we have in, see how they play. He may surprise us, ive not given up hope just yet, and I had given up hope with Ralph. Btw - im pretty sure the Onionman posts on here - im sure you may recognise the image…
-
Some of the vids i saw were reversed weirdly somehow. So i thought he same that he played on the right, but look at the back of the shirts, think the numbers were wrong way round… Doest Jackson play on the right?
-
Hey Os, Im guessing I know you from the other side, usually getting shit from Chilco, Laces and Onionman 😂 welcome if it’s you, and welcome if it’s not!
-
Not for me. Goodson is miles away, cant be arsed, and besides I’d prefer Everton to struggle, so can’t support their issues with their own Board.
-
Yep, those two in particular make Le Tissier seem like Roy Keane. I’ve long thought i dont wish to see Diallo, Djeneppo, Ely, and AMN again in a Saints shirt. Aribo I think has got ability, just needs to do more for 90 mins. Im still happy to wait and see what players are coming in Jan before passing judgement. But the clouds are gathering…
-
Yeah I agree with that. I will hold judgement until the transfer window, they simply have to address the glaring obvious issues, and if they dont then we will very likely be relegated. They just have to get quality business done early, easier said than done, but without it, were done I think.
-
Or maybe, and im not saying this is correct, but perhaps the squad were so bad partly cos of Ralph, that all confidence has been lost in the team and it will take something special to sort out. I dont buy into the fact of keeping Ralph, not at all, we were heading down, absolutely nosediving with him at the helm. And we may still do that, but perhaps the mistake was not sacking Ralph, it was a. Not doing it in the summer, and perhaps b. Appointing NJ. Time will tell.
-
Add in also AA left them and he got better. How come 😂
-
Well, hopefully he will last to see out first game, before fucking off like the others have lately.
-
Yeah heard this a bit lately. Why didnt he go to Brentford, Jones turn it down or they chose Frank instead?

Saints 1-4 Newcastle - Match Thread
Billy the Kidd replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I think you have a point, in that we failed to get a striker, that wasn’t totally on Ralph, but he simply has to get better result and performances out of what he has or he has to go. It is literally what most mid to bottom teams have to do. But your constant defence of him, whilst admirable, boarders on blind faith, and you continually trot out excuse after excuse for him. Every team wants to buy a Haaland, but when they dont, they play to their strengths generally, which isnt really something Ralph has done consistently or effectively. I just find your constant excuse finding laughable, Ralphlon has many considerable faults, and will very likely be replaced this month. If and when that happens, and we start playing better and picking up points, will you acknowledge that other people can and will have done better than Ralph, or will you trot out a load of other BS cos we brought new players in Jan 23 😂 Just read the Athletic article with Redmond, sums up the situation of someone politely saying what a load of bollocks it has largely been playing under Ralph. Seriously, people hounded out Hughes, and Pelligrino, and rightly so, and they are largely comparable with Ralphs performances. -

Wolves just appointed Julen Lopetegui.

So, why would they be premier league scorers. Why cant we go out abroad and look for others. Im pretty sure some other countries have football leagues, and some of their players are likely to be better a sticking the ball in the net. Not my job to find them, that is the clubs, but Ralph chose to sign Che and AA, neither of which have worked out. It is up to the manager to get the players in his budget, and play to their strengths. We knew when we signed AA for example, that his best goal scoring periods came not from playing on the wings, or by tracking back to his open 6 yard box, but Ralph has to have players with defensive qualities first and foremost, as clearly he has an issue setting us up to defend. Talking of defence, yours of Ralph is admirable, any suggestion at what point you would change manager, and when would the actual buck stop with the man that makes the decisions on tactics, formations, training regimes, etc?
-
So, not totally disagreeing here, but you are aware Ralph signed both Che and AA. Now im sure Lighthouse or someone will point out we didnt have much money, which is correct, but there are other players out there that could have produced more goals. So, when we say it isnt Ralphs fault we didnt sign a striker, he did sign the two already here, so his purchases, you and others (including me) have alluded to, have been failures. Brought by Ralph.
-
Yep, wonder why that is. Wonder why a few players got worse after joining. Moussa being one. Redmond another. Mara another. I like Mara, think he could do better at those shooting things which equal goals.
-
Think Id rather watch a Puel team than this one. This is only down to Ralphs poor tactics. We cant string a pass together, Diallo must have a pass completion rate of 50%, and for 38 mins we have been utter dogshit., And he still stands there doing nothing.
