Yeah I thought that, and loved the Chelsea game when Tuchel first joined when we played them. It makes sense for us to use clubs like Chelsea to almost be a uk feeder for some of their talent, ones where we can buy young and cheap, even if they buy back for £20-30m more in a few years, helps with our total lack of investment and sustainable model.

Who knows, until 10 mins ago barely anyone had heard of him. He may not end up playing lots if we have him on loan as he may not be quite good enough yet. Make it a perm and then we can invest how we see fit.

Yep, I doubt Ings sat there with his agent and drew up a list of which mid table battlers they wanted to join, and Villa were at the front of that. I was shocked at first when this broke, disappointing too, and now think it’s funny he left us for Villa, as no way did he want to go there. I think the club grew a pair of balls and Played it hard with him, and there is definitely animosity between he and the club. Im pretty excited too about other players coming in, and think we may pull off something impressive. I can see a major loan addition, and think we should be going all out for Noni.

Useless boardroom. I feel we have a far better boardroom than weve had in years, cleared out lots of deadwood this summer, and started the recruitment pretty well so far this summer. A board who also managed to get Villa to overpay by maybe 30%. Not sure what you are expecting.

I get your point, but think you are being too balck/white with this. There is a budget that has to be adhered to, that Ralph has to make the most with. It may be if we got a new keeper, we cant afford a good enough striker etc. Add to that, we cant shift either of the two shit keepers we have, people dont want them. I certainly dont put the fact we cant get rid of keepers at Ralphs door.
