  1. To be fair we have changed our play a lot this season which is why I’m excited by the next run of games. But failing to come out of the next 5 without a decent points haul I think we will change, in fact we may even change after the next 3 games if we lose them all.
  2. I’d agree with this. I thought I was alone thinking I’d have taken the £40m or whatever it was in the summer and brought a few more players in. I get JWP is a safe option, doesn’t really let you down type player, but other than set pieces, I haven’t really seen what he adds to our game. Maybe I’m just an idiot where it comes to footie tactics, but i dont see so much progressive play from him. I think he had one season where he got forward a bit more and scored some goals from open play, and I thought he would continue in that form, maybe that is something Ralph didnt want him to do, and maybe that is how he plays in our 4222, in that Ralph doesn’t want his defensive 2 leaving the defensive station. Maybe its just our style of play that needs to change after all…
  3. Mike Dean involved , tried to give JWP a red before kick off
  4. I agree with this, also if people think we are finding Gao harder to shake off than a small dog humping your leg, it will be impossible to shake the sheiks off.
  5. hmmmm.
  6. Having S Armstrong back as a 10 is vital I think. I will be pissed off if he puts him as JWP cover for the next few games, he needs to be further forward, Diallo can slot into the JWP role.
  7. I get what you’re saying, but JWP would have been about 20 back then, players do improve with age. Now I’m not saying he is a world beater, I think he slows out play down, but I also see the other defensive side he does for our game, which often goes unnoticed.
  8. So, if it is irrelevant what we scored and with who, is it still relevant that our form has been bad most of 2021, or by this logic it is ok to start this season afresh, as last season is irrelevant?
  9. Yeah, it has something going on to do with a woman, or a man's, cervix. Maybe the cervix isnt attractive, hence the ugly inside.
  10. Oh joy, bolloxtics on a footie thread...
  11. Im free to post when and what i like 👍 Suggest you move on, as you keep mentioning how often people post to you. Not that everyone does, I mean literally I didnt quote you, I thought the whole topic was getting a little boring, and decidingly worse when you started bitching on about people following you. Even Sadoldgit didnt quote you - perhaps you are a little paranoid they are talking about you Seems you may be the one with the 'hidden' issues, but we knew that from some of the crap you post about LGBTQ and other stuff
  12. In your opinion, which I recognise. In my opinion, I dont believe had he timed it perfectly it would have been a free kick. Maybe Diallo will come in and play great, he may play in JWPs defensive position, so not sure he would be too much further forward. Or SA may go next to Romeu, allowing Diallo to go further forward, that said, Diallo is hopeless at shooting and not sure his passing is much better since watching him play when he gets the chance. JWP seems to have a niggling injury, was a yard off the pace, so maybe this works out for the best all round.
  13. Sorry if you think im turning it into a pissing contest - why would you think that - strange way of reading my posts!! You have been saying he was two footed off the ground and out of control - that is the bit I was saying didnt happen. I mean, it is largely irrelevant as he was sent off so who cares, but he wasnt out of control or two footed - he was a fraction late into the tackle.
  14. Well said. I sometimes think people look at a snapshot to fit an opinion held at that exact moment.
  15. I’m not sure how you expect people to make a sliding tackle with one leg planted on the ground - it cant be done 😅 Why do you feel both feet (or one) need to be on the floor to tackle - that just isn’t how football happens. I think you have a view, which is fine, that the tackle was reckless, but you cant start making things up to back up your point. The only thing JWP did wrong was be .5 second late, had it been timed correctly it is likely it wouldn’t have been a foul.
  16. Well, that is one way of looking at it. Yes, the previous number of months hasn’t been good enough. But we kept the manager, and this season we have started again. The previous piece has been done to death, and quite frankly is boring people keep banging on about it. We were shit, we had injuries, it happened, get over it. Are you suggesting you believe we are playing the same way, or can you accept it has been far better this season, with formations, tactics, and substitutions? like I keep saying, if we are in the same position after the next 4-5 games, I imagine we will replace Ralph. If we come out of that in a good position, I expect we wont. Will you be happy if we achieve the latter, or do you just want him gone?
  17. Shame you cant see we have had the hardest opening 7 fixtures in the league, or that we are playing pretty well just now, Wolves aside. How about you re-visit that after the next run of games, and if we are still winless, I will agree he should go. Until then, I wouldnt change the manager,
  18. Like some views on here! I think Ralph has proved he is willing to try new things this season, for me it’s the main reason I’d keep him until after the next run of games which on paper we should be winning, as he has changed formation numerous times in games and subs have been pretty good. I agree I’d move Tino forward, try it for some games, and maybe he will, or maybe he has reasons to keep him at RB.
  19. Yeah I agree with that, the Burnely goal direct from a corner was bad, and we know he isn’t great and likely to upgrade next season so will be fine as back up next year.
  20. I must admit I wasnt sure it crossed the line, but seeing the graphic it was only just but still a goal. Although thought it was funny one poster, not sure who, moaned the keeper didnt dive for that goal. I thought Macca had his best game in a long while for us on Saturday, and did a good attempt to save the 3rd goal.
  21. He never had two feet off the floor, certainly not when he caught the player. Red card, possibly, but not quite as you see it, at least for me.
  22. I can see why it was a red, but the fact there are so many differing opinions on here suggest it could have been a red, could have been a yellow. It was late, and stupid i think, but he went in 1 footed studs barely up. For me, VAR is to rectify clear/obvious mistakes. I dont think it was so clear to be a red, and therefore VAR wasnt correctly used. In the same way if the ref gave a red and it was VAR reviewed, I dont think it should have been downgraded to a yellow.
  23. So to be clear, we are signing Townsend and Grey in the January transfer window? And they are free?
  24. I dont think he has been at his best, but saying he has been rubbish this season is a stretch. I think he is currently our top scorer, whilst not saying much about our ability to score, he has had some value. He is also coming back from injury over the summer, I think he is a little below fitness wise.
