I agree with you on this, but Ralph chose to spend our biggest chunk of £££ on a new LB which was absolutely required, and barely plays him. Id be surprised if we didn’t get someone in Jan, we simply can’t go through the remaining games with the current situation, and this was something that should have been fixed last summer.

See this is interesting. I was listening to the latest TSP yesterday and they said the manager doesn’t actually have that much influence during the game. This came after saying how well Ralph sets them up in the week to be great for 35 mins or whatever. The thing that confused me is I think that is horse shit. How is it almost every manager responds to our early dominance and makes tactical changes to combat our game plan? That is in game management they said managers don’t have an influence on. Ralph started the season well like he had learned from last year but I feel he has now regressed to form and looks lost on the touch line.

We started the season well, for say 8 games or so, now I think we have regressed to how we played for the last year. The next two games will be a barometer of this, so hope you’re correct, but wouldn’t be surprised if it continued.

I think you are all forgetting the sheer weight of numbers in hospital right now with Omicron, tidal wave doesn’t do it justice. Literally, I have no idea how the NHS are coping with the 10 cases needing hospital care right now.

Yes I do. I think Tino will be a better player, but right now, no. And it also unbalances us on our left side not having a left footed LB.

Tino either goes on the bench, or he takes a 10 position. It is clear for the whole world to see, but somehow Ralph cant see it.

The other week when Rangnick took over, he was asked how Ronaldo would fit into his style of play. He simply said you dont, you always have to work a system to suit the players you have. Ralph has had 3 years to figure out we dont have the players to fit his system. A couple of years back, Ralph persisted in fucking around with square pegs/round holes. He refused to play Bertrand, played our best RB at the time at LB, and put our 3rd choice RB in (i think). With Perraud/Tino/KWP, he is doing the same again. He did it previously playing Bednarek at RB. WTF is he still doing this stuff for? For me, it is plain arrogance that he cant accept his way wont work. I gave him slack early season as he did seem more responsive in game changes and mixed formation/tactics up more. Now he has reverted to form. I honestly dont think he can turn this around, even though I would love him to. I agree we have limitations in the squad, but dont buy the line of no one else would do better. I think it is actually no one else can do much worse for me.
