  1. This has more than likely been brewing for a while and nothing to do with recent events. The problem I have with it is that surely we could have attracted a manager with some kind of proven track record of success and the usual cold way Cortese goes about things without a care for the people within the club or the fantastic supporters that follow Saints.
  2. I'm in total agreement with you in as much that some tactical decisions from Adkins this season have been strange to say the least. I think you are probably correct that this has been in the pipeline for a little while and not at all relevent to recent performances. My angle on things is that If Cortese wanted to replace Nigel then surely the club is now in a position to attract a manager with a proven track record. The other thing that I cannot stand is the usual cold way that Cortese conducts business without feelings for the people within the club or the loyal supporters that follow this fantastic football club. I worked for the club myself until a few months ago and left of my own accord because of the arrogant way the club is run.
  3. Ridiculous decision at this stage of the season! It would have been more bearable if the replacement came with some pedigree. After following this club through thick and thin for over 40 years I am starting to lose that feeling of pride for the first time. Mr. Cortese will probably reach his goal of European football eventually but at what cost. By the time we get there will it really mean very much to any of us if it means treating people in this fashion?
  4. A poor game all round from both teams. Saints seemed to lack any kind of teamwork at times and looked stretched and disjointed. Fulham held onto the ball and passed much better as a team but showed very little ambition going forward. All the time Lambert is on the pitch he causes the other team problems regardless as to if he is on top form or not. When he is substituted it takes pressure off the oposition and allows them to play further up the pitch. At times we needed somebody to put their foot on the ball and calm things down a bit instead of hoofing it back to Fulham and waiting for the next attack to come at us. On the plus side it was good to see us show enough metal to come back from 2-1 when all looked to be lost. Also the goalkeeper looks to be a good signing, he looks to be a good shot stopper with good distribution and calm for his age. I would have taken a point before the game but on reflection it should have been 3pts against a lack lustre Fulham side.
  5. Taking off possibly our two best options going forwards seems ridiculous when only 1-0 up. As soon as Lambert comes off it takes the pressure off from the oposition defence and encourages them to play further up the pitch. We aren't great at the back and yes over reaction from Adkins in my opinion.
  6. What exactly did they get? I only saw them getting a load of gob inside the ground and a load of kids kicking the railings outside reception.
