Please give our players support, the manager will decide if they are worthy of our badge. Our job is to support the team, encourage them, keep their confidence up. We should not be there to tear down our own players. That is like sending boys to war and telling them they are shit, usless and will die out there. It does not help the troops, it will not help the players. We can discuss player abilities, everyone has their opinions, but to denigrate them on field is not on! To write off young players who we hope will become stars is fool hardy, we just got to back them until they are out the door. Then we can talk smack about them.....if you are so inclined. My hopes are dej, moi, gorilla, Adam A, tella and even the long suffering Reds and Beds can improve to be important players for us. All saints players need supporting......... until they are gone.

Time to get new glasses, or a new TV, the ball was touched, the ball was deflected, Jim never had control of the ball, never had possession, he actually ran past the ball (because Beds changed the balls angle) into Beds. If the VAR took so long to find the best angle to support their weak case, how was it clear and obvious mistakes by the on field ref? That non pen changed the game!

Who was on VAR? The on field ref had no prob with the tackles. Again we get screwed by the VAR ref, he showed those tackles over and over looking for a foul. I still do not see one! Beds got the ball, changed its direction, goes past Jim, and he continues into Beds? Where is the foul? Very frustrating to always get these shit calls going against us. This poor decision echanged the game. Also thought the ref let them kick and push us at will. Love that fair Salu shoulder tackle, but not the ref? These were two good teams, but we rarely have the chance to beat just the team, we are almost always hampered by the refs and them deciding how the game should go. Announcers never seem to like us, I can hear the excitement for the other teams, but rarely any love for the Saints. Oh well, at least the FA are consistent with us, they never seem to disappoint in rewarding the opposition and shafting us up the ...........

Well it looks like it is in Broga hands to decide if he want to stay and request to be sold. Looks like Saints have made it clear we want to buy him. Chelsea look like they would sell him if the player wanted to leave, with a buy back clause. I wonder if he wants to stay and how much would be asked for his signature.

I thought he did it purposely when KWP did the diving header and needed treatment, he went off, we were down to 9 men, forster looked like he purposely booted out so KWP could be wave back on the field. I clapped too, as I thought that was smart. If he kicked in infield that cheating ref may not have wave him straight on, or an attack may have happened before he could get back to his defensive position, from the halfway line he had to return to the filed from. The rest looked like he tried to play to the wings but sliced them just out.

You have no clue.....do you like the way Liverpool play, Chealsea, rb lip or even man city? They are all employing Radnick ideas, which is a version of leeds beliesa style. When Spain destroyed everyone with the tic tac style, with the 7 players from the dominant Barcelona team in 2010 ( Pep is a student of Beliesa), the Germans took notice. They revamped their entire football structure, out of this change came the gegenpressing, which means counter pressing. Klopp had introduced this style to pool, but we had seen it with Poch. So the press and everything else you need to do to make it work has become the weapon of choice for PROGRESSIVE coaches. It allowed rb lip to challenge the elite because the press style can disrupt other team as they are being closed down and option are dwindling. So the really big teams that employ this will also have the great players that will make them very hard to beat if they can execute this demanding style. I am so happy we have a progressive coach and we can be part of this exciting style of playing ball.

Our defense is better because we have better defenders for Ralfs style, as mentioned the additions of Liv, Sal and Per have improved the speed and mobility of our back line. This is crucial for our pressing style, as we will have more one on one defending. Dudman, can you not see he has developed the team to his style, he did not let up on the press, it was drilled into them over this summer, and the whole time he has been here.....that how hard it is to get this pressing style right. It was shown in patches how good it can be, but injuries, lack of quality players etc. This year we executed Ralfs playbook much better because we have better understanding of what is required and better players to accomplish this. And with Ralfs PB we can punch above our weight as we have seen in patches and what he did with RB lip. Reading and learning ( not your strongest attribute) what Ralf press, automatism is all about , it is not a simple press, it has many moving parts, time to boot, where to boot, how to shift when pressing, then shift to defense when being attacked etc, there are quite a few good articles on what he is trying to accomplish and you will learn what he trying to accomplish. It's not Ralf listening to us forum floggers, it up to us to listen to him and what he is trying to implement! Dudman, you say jwp and diallo are too light weight last season, have they not improved? You can adjust your opinions over time? A young man like diallo won't get more muscle over a year? Have you not seen JWP getting stuck in, no longer the soft push over he was a few years ago. I think all this attention on Ralf is another example of how most people (pony) rate him as an excellent manager and is getting good results out of a limited budget team. We play a style that is pleasing to most fans. To suggest a contracted Manager in your own league shows alot of positives for Ralf and Saints, we are flattered but.......pony off! He is not done with this masterpiece he is sculpting SFC.

I think the players finally got it! Ralfs playbook is all about his pressing style and the automism within it. I like most thought wtf with the 9-0 drubbing, but right there he showed he was not going to back down from his press. I look back and think he said 1-0 or 9-0, I want you to keep practicing the press. We have to get it right! Shut up shop was not in his mind. In the summer he brought in players to compliment the press, trained all summer on the press and automism. Players now seem to understand what is required, our press is the best in the league! We have better coverage at the back and the off ball marking has improved. We now get all three teams now beginning to win using the playbook. It has taken a while, but what Ralf was trying to introduce was very difficult. Anyone who has played ball will know the style we play is very difficult achieve tactically and physically. We have recruited the right players and taken a couple of years to get it to this point. I think there is more to come as the playbook is ingrained further and the players improve with a clear path on what is needed. This year we have the press and automism working much better, step one completed, so Ralf has added better game control/ management. We press and rest intelligently. We will defend a lead in the second half if needed and getting better at it. Players are improving under him and the team cohesion and attitude looks great. My rose tinted glasses are full red, white and black! March on and up Saints!

I keep seeing this, the chealsea loaner, Broga over our own strikers? I can see he is a special tallented kid, but each time he plays he is taking time away from the strikers we have brought and need to get scoring. I am all for playing the kid every now and then, but to bench our other strikers could be detrimental to the team long term. We can win without him. I don't know if Broga will ever be our player permanently, would love it to happen, but for now he cannot block the path of our permanent strikers who need to gain their form and confidence. I love the pressure he has put on them and I hope he will be a Saints signing one day.........

He has employed the press better than any manager has, ( yes, better than Poch) but it took awhile, alot of triggers needed to be learned, pressing as a team, covering the spaces left by the pressure, etc. Ralf is so committed to his style he will not change his plans even when we are getting thumped, keep pressing, stretching, learn it as we loose, because we have to get it right! Tella's preseason interview confirmed that Ralf was drilling the press into them, so much that Tella thought we are much better at it and "any team that can defeat our press has done very well". I see it for myself, and it looks alot more solid, our defensive record is improving as we get better at the system. This is a very difficult system, even the master, Beliesa was shown how it is done! Ralf's passion to do better is infectious, he is totally living the game as it goes on. The recruiting since he has been here is excellent for the budget we have. Even the so called usless players (moi, redder, dj) are now being seen as good players, that is good coaching. Ralf may not be everyones cup of tea, but for me I would have no one else, a big man, big character, big ideas, big results and I big up my coach. Found it very amusing watching Manu trying to press when they were loosing, not a CLUE! with the intro of Ronaldo this season, they will never be able to press a team effectively again. He was one footed, coming in low, did not slide through the cheat on a stonking wet surface, he collapsed his legs, reduced momentum, and tried to pull out of tackle. Result.. just caught cheats ankle, dramatic head snap back and collapse in a dramatic heap, no medical needed, cheat just up and ran around. This was a poorly timed challenge, no malice, no follow through, no injury! A yellow card was sufficient, the obvious attempt to upgrade it to red was needed to change the game for the bigger team as we were holding our own. It was not going to the preconceived result, Chelsea had had some poor results and needed a pick me up, even the announcers cheered up after the sending off, they could now gush over Chelsea . We were a sacrificial Saint again to those clowns 🤡 called refs.
