As I said, the stench of Russ shit ball is still lingering, but you liked that smell 🤭😫
-
Your moaning about the obvious, yes the top 4 have reserve teams better than most of us. Every player out there for liverfool we could not afford. Nice to see us get beaten by the oppostion instead of us beating oursevles with suicide possesion at the back! Feel the love for comptetive football coming back on that second half performance. It will take a little time for the stench of Russ ball to wear off.

Ralf and Russ, both extreames in terms of thier football philosophy. Ralf was press at all cost, even wanting players to hoof the ball forward, giving up possesion so we could press high up and win the ball in the oponents danger area to create chances. He was tactically too obsessed with this, and we continually got caught with player out of position high up and leaving our defence too exposed. I remember after a few seasons, Tella told us how the team spent all summer working on the Ralf press even harder. Press was THE thing, blind to the exposure it left our defense! I had trouble understanding his extreme press philosophy, but did see results as it did provided us with a fit, agressive team that could compete with the big teams with an inferior sqaud to them. Russ was the complete opposite, possesion at all cost. The very first game was the introduction to Russ style, we were a far better team but happy to keep possesion and not attack a team that was there for the taking? Russ possesion based obsession was a other extreame i had to try to undestand, as it seemed to inflict unnessesary pressure on our defense, especially when teams pressed us agressivly. He did not waiver and coached possesion as a possesed man. Another inflexible coach inflicting unnessary defeats. SR, PLEASE pick a coach that can adapt to the opponents, who are not a one trick pony. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Why would RM be good to have when we go back to championship? He complained last year when he took over he had to instill confidence and restore the players bravery because of the previous shit season. How will the players feel when it is him that delivers the worst season in the PL? How will he raise thier spirits if RM cause the trauma? It just dont make sense!

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca warns that Southampton will give Chelsea their toughest game of the season despite sitting bottom of the Premier League table. This is ongoing joke between the PL managers......keep giving RM praise and keep him lost in his delousions.

Anyone remember this

Saints 2-3 Liverpool - Match Thread
BERMUDASAINT replied to Weston Super Saint's topic in The Saints
McCarthy fault for the first goal trying to play Russball. He is trying too hard to be what he is not, a ball playing keeper. I understand his confidence must be fragile, playung behind Baz, who was not doing great at stopping shots but good with his feet. Then only getting his chance afer Baz is injured. He played brilliantly doing what he does best, shot stopping, and gets us promoted and a new contract. It helped we did not play back to the keeper as much in those games. PL and the bench again as we buy a better keeper who can play out from the back. Damn he is crushed again by the managers decision as he is not a ball playing keeper. So he gets his chance again due to injury, and is ready to show he has practiced and can be a ball playing keeper. He whants to show he can do it, forces that throw in to FD in a dangerous area after cesspool had closed us down. This is his mistake trying to hard to please the manager. A mistake that he has to learn from, just like Ramsdale. Ramsdale too was guilty of this in the beggining, but after a few calamoutus goals trying to play out from the defence, he finally grew back his balls to make his own decissions and boot the ball out under preaser, or tell our defence to push out as we are pinned in and kick the ball to our wings or strikers. As for the second goal, trying too hard to impress again, sweeper keeper? Come on dude, your too slow, stay in the goal and save shots, thats your strength. -

Official: David Datro Fofana joins Göztepe SK on loan from Chelsea Best of luck, David! By Fellipe Miranda Sep 14, 2024, 3:59am BST Chelsea centre-forward David Datro Fofana was almost a victim of our circumstances, with loan moves to Leicester City and AEK Athens falling apart amidst advanced negotiations with both clubs. But with the Turkish summer transfer window still open, Fofana found a way out of the “bomb squad” by joining Göztepe SK on a loan deal. Two reasons why Fofana’s loan move to the Greek Super League fell apart were Chelsea's demand for a (hefty) £16m release clause, and the inclusion of a January break option. From the looks of it these issues were ironed out in the negotiations with the Turkish outfit. Last season Fofana spent the first half of the season at Bundesliga club Union Berlin, scoring two goals in 17 matches before moving to then Premier League club Burnley. He started out strongly, with an assist against Manchester City followed by a brace versus Fulham to help him finish with four goals and a single assist in 15 league matches for the Clarets. Good luck, David!

David Datro Fofana set to join Göztepe SK on loan newly promoted Göztepe SK could move for the transfer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreed deal includes all the provisions that caused AEK all sorts of consternation, including a £16m purchase clause and a January break option if we so choose. Just like AEK, Göztepe surely also don’t have the funds to activate that clause either, regardless of how well Fofana might play, but unlike AEK, they have recently joined Southampton’s multi-club verse, which could provide for with some intriguing possibilities. Of course, we shouldn’t count our chicken just yet. Let’s make sure that this move does become official first... https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1834267243619721428

Sheffield United are in talks to sign Southampton winger Samuel Edozie on loan, sources have told Football Insider. The South Yorkshire club see the 21-year-old as a potential key player as they push for promotion back to EPL. However, they have their work cut out for them with sources saying Edozie isn’t keen on dropping down to English football’s second tier

Some positive news on our sick notes: Ross, Adam and Sully. Martin told the Daily Echo: “I think they’ll all be back on the grass next week. “You’ll see them smiling and running around with the lads. They are all quite advanced in their rehab so they will be back. “Hopefully in contention for the Carabao Cup game. I would suggest Forest after only a few days of training next week would be maybe too much. “We’ll see – but we are hopeful that the week after that, all three of them will be back in contention properly.”

We played very well against the richest club in the world! Everyone was expecting toon to destroy and embarrass us, but we stood up and looked as good as them. (Should have won) The majority of our players are prem quality, the starting 10 coped very well and did not look out of place against a very strong newsaudicastle. Speaking of lots of monies, we dont know where we are with finances, but we are in tbe business end of the transfer window. This is where the big pounds are spent!! U think we would enter this with no casholla to spend???? Speaking about spending.... The 2 big ones we have been linked to very strongly. I think we are deff in for MOR and will get him with Charles going other way. I think we are deff in for JC and will use Stewart as a sweetner As for big les and Fernades, both are huge talents and look like they can handle the PL. But both need alot of time training in RM style and dont expect either to feature for some time. I think Fernades is a good purchase, young and talented and one for the near future, looks a great price for his pontential. I think big Les is a hopefull loan for a player with huge potential that needs to get back on track. Mersca knows RM is a great PB coach and will hope we can mold him into a player Chesea can use. Our hope is he likes it so much he wants to join. Having a good relationship with a club who own half of the players in the universe is not a bad thing (hey Joe, since ya got your dream job using us as a stepping stone, would ya throw us a bone)

Chelsea have gone with a championship PB manager, he was only bested by our own PB manager for possesion stats. Both know each other, and both know how much coaching needs to be done to get a tune outta PB. With Chelsea massive player pool, we must be a good fit to "help" develope PB players, either on loan or sale with a eye on buying back if they want. As you said, we will not compete with them, but can give players a great platform to learn PB football. We recruited heavily from MC as well as they are the ultimate PB club.
