I don’t see why Benfica would sell Ramos at this point IMO. You’re better off letting him bag 15+ goals this season and getting double next summer vs what they would get right now. It doesn’t make much sense for Ramos either unless he really wants PL this year. Have a good UCL campaign, move to a UCL club in a top 5 league and receive a much bigger salary than what he would getting this summer.

If Ramos is deemed not for sale by Benfica, what are some other realistic options at striker that would break our transfer record? Tanswell has noted it multiple times now that if the deal is right we are willing to break that record

Lis is maybe the only player I could see moving to Göztepe this season (he is already familiar with Izmir). We of course have some deadwood in this squad but all of them are way above the level of the second tier of Turkey. Should Göztepe get promoted this season then perhaps next summer we could see a few loan moves
