I think most peoples issue is that we are not guarenteed the player at the end of the loan if there is no agreement in place. If KWP had attracted interest from top clubs during his loan with us its unlikely he would have joined us. Also with the options to buy how does that work if the player doesnt want to join? Is the players contract agreed during the loan negotiations or is it just the agreed price with the club that is agreed? So if we hadnt mucked up the contract with Athletico could Toby have just said to us, thanks for the year but I'm joining Spurs? Wasn't Ings pretty much a perm signing as it was a commitment to buy rather than option?

How comes, according to our fans, every rumour has to be either leaked by the club for PR reasons or by an agent to build up interest in a player/force a move. The majority of rumours are papers filling space or websites looking for clickbait to gain revenue. I'll be honest I'm not sure where the rumour started but HITC is definitely in the clickbait category for me.
