  1. St Chalet is correct.... In his scenario the balance (Net Book Value) on the Balance Sheet would be £5m as in the previous two years we had written down £5m (£2.5m cost to the P&L each year) of the value. So in this case when we sell for £10m we would recognise £5m of profit in year which helps with FFP or whatever it is now called. Of course in real terms that doesn't mean we are £5m better off as we sold for what we bought the player for plus we would have paid 2 years of wages etc.
  2. No, whatever someone identifies as, they're welcome at St Mary's.
  3. I think you're letting your bias get in the way of objectivity here. It was a really good save (not world class as Hypochondriac has pointed out but still a really good save), even the Watford commentators who don't have any bias towards Bazunu were saying what a good save it was.
  4. Are you talking about the save in the 2nd half low to his right that he tipped round the corner?
  5. I just meant people who get triggered by ethnic minorities, if i've got that wrong I apologies but your posts and the sheer volume of posts in this thread alone suggests otherwise. Edit to say I got you and Turkish confused in this thread. You hadnt posted that often at the start to be fair to you. Aplogies for that. I haven't got time to troll back through your many posts but you was all over the MLT and the boys being released from their contract thread.
  6. But people like you have been crying for decades over white males being discriminated against with companies being forced to hire minorities or women for box ticking exercises, so let's not try to pretend this is a new arguement. Which is exactly my point, it's been going on decades and I've never looked at someone that way. You seem to get very upset and take over any thread that has any mention of ethnic minorities. Just the other day you was throwing your toys out the pram because based on no evidence you thought be a bunch of white men were sacked for ethnic diversity reasons and let your anger take over so you wouldn't even consider the fact that the ratings had been dropping and they were expensive contractors.
  7. I can safely say I've never looked at an minority who has a good job and thought you only have this job because of a tick box exercise.
  8. If Everton are subsidising alot of his wages so his costs are more in line with our average wage level then it wouldn't be a huge risk. But I still don't see where he would fit in unless Obafemi is going out on loan. But like I say if Ralph wants him then in Ralph I trust.
  9. I don't think its arrogance. He will be on huge wages (unless Everton are subsidising alot) and not sure what he will bring to us, we already have two very fast but limited forwards and he doesnt suit the Redmond/Armstrong role. The signing doesnt make sense to me personally but if Ralph actually wants him then who am I to judge.
  10. A very confusing post here Hypochondriac, you state you don't know who she is, followed by explaining exactly what her credentials are.
  11. Relegation rivals? I thought we finished 11th, 18 points above relegation?
  12. I think most peoples issue is that we are not guarenteed the player at the end of the loan if there is no agreement in place. If KWP had attracted interest from top clubs during his loan with us its unlikely he would have joined us. Also with the options to buy how does that work if the player doesnt want to join? Is the players contract agreed during the loan negotiations or is it just the agreed price with the club that is agreed? So if we hadnt mucked up the contract with Athletico could Toby have just said to us, thanks for the year but I'm joining Spurs? Wasn't Ings pretty much a perm signing as it was a commitment to buy rather than option?
  13. Let it go mate, you're coming across a bit obsessed!
  14. How comes, according to our fans, every rumour has to be either leaked by the club for PR reasons or by an agent to build up interest in a player/force a move. The majority of rumours are papers filling space or websites looking for clickbait to gain revenue. I'll be honest I'm not sure where the rumour started but HITC is definitely in the clickbait category for me.
  15. Yep, that was the tipping point for me too.
