If we appoint the right man and very quickly then the potential of this squad will be realised and improved upon. We will then demolish every other side in this division as we go on to win it. That is of course if we appoint the right man and the fact that we have been repeatedly underwhelmed after each management merry go round in the past, I know it's Saints and I know that based on the past I shouldn't expect anything other than a big disappointment but I'm actually really optimistic as I'd had enough of Pardew towards the end of last season and I believe in Cortese. Come on Nicola, please don't let me down! Martin O'Neill - PLEASE!!!

Before slagging Nicola Cortese off, let's all wait and see who the new manager is - this is what is key about todays events. This could either be a fantastic move which will really push us on or a groundhog day trip back to the mad old days of old Rupes. Based on the evidence I've seen so far of Cortese's performance then I'm really hopeful. I'm hoping and praying that someone of the calibre and experience of O'Neill will come in. I don't dare dream that we could get O'Neill........could we?

Never convinced by Pardew after last season but was happy to give him a chance. Time for him to go.

Obviously I am totally dreaming here but if there was a even the tiniest possibility of us getting Martin O'Neill then that would be absolutely fantastic. He is the best manager in England and you only have to ask fans of his former clubs what they think of him, he literally walked on water in Glasgow - and that's coming form a Rangers fan. If anyone reading this in any way can have any influence to get O'Neill to Saints then please do it!
