  1. My best guess is he thought he could get the same value out of A Armstrong and so didn't go for it.
  2. Not true that he'd not managed before, extensive experience playing football manager.
  3. To slightly defend him here, when Poch took over we were already playing half decent football under Adkins, it was less of a leap. RM has taken over a side that's been playing pretty dreadful (and unsuccessful) football for several years - it'll take long. Not that I think it's going well by any means.
  4. If we get trounced here, bit of a red flag on the manager
  5. Reckon we get a bit extra (compared to Celtic) with him going to Saudi?
  6. Hopefully S A-A starts at the weekend and smashes it.
  7. Too much money to turn down for a player of his level. Squeaky bum time though.
  8. Holgates comments suggest that 1. He's a CB and 2. He chose us over other options. Surely he wouldn't be happy to be backup in the championship?
  9. So in CB we now have JS, JB, Lyanco, ABK, Holgate with Woods heavily linked. Still hope we get Woods, and if we do a couple to leave at least I assume?
  10. You just made me physically shudder.
  11. Or they're refusing to sell him to us
  12. She also chose to record him - which suggests it wasn't the first time he acted like that.
  13. I wonder though, Ronaldo hates him apparently and always has. If he has far reaching influence, could make it difficult.
  14. Big fan of AA as an 8, was brilliant today.
  15. Would have done a better job than Selles, Jones and Pellegrino tbf.
  16. Certainly was excellent at Forest and very much the marauding full back RM likes, not played much in the last year so hopefully hasn't dropped off.
  17. Think it was discussed previously but there is a change Small was a very good 17 year old rather than a 17 year old with high potential, which are very different things. The fact that, ironically, he's a big lad will have given him a short term advantage.
  18. Slight aside (sorry if mentioned), but Jackson looked excellent for Chelsea yesterday, clearly going to be a top striker. At least it shows our scouts had some ide in January.
  19. Will he be competing with Charles then? To play alongside Smallbone. Or will it be 2 of 3?
  20. Would love it!
  21. One of the most popular West Ham accounts
  22. The main argument in favour of him playing in midfield is it means he's further away from his own goal
  23. Sorry if covered before but seen rumours Chelsea have a 40% sell on, so almost half of that will end up back in London.
  24. Agreed, but with his flexibility he'd be a great squad player for a mid table PL team even when his forms a bit flat.
