  1. Think she'll be gone soon, doesn't suit her to be part of the losing team at the next election so might as well blow up her current position and then come back as the anti-establishment choice after the election.
  2. I know the main Tory strategy at this point is to scare the population in to thinking we're all going to be destroyed by the great woke tide, and they are the last defence against it. But they're getting so ridiculous about it now, I wonder if a lot of even their 'new Tory' supporters might think "hmmm, this is starting to feel a bit like nonsense".
  3. No, but THB has the option to reject us so if they wanted to keep him they could.
  4. Unreal strike partnership on Championship Manager 00/01.
  5. For the most part the 12 policies are pretty solid when run through one by one, it was going for so much in one manifesto that undermine it all. His 2017 manifesto, which was a lot less ambitious, was a lot more popular. The 2019 brexit policy was a political disaster too (and objectively foolish). That coupled with the media going absolutely ham to destroy him, it was always destined to be a disaster.
  6. "Defend his right to say what the fuck he likes", but you object to people calling him out for it?
  7. I think what makes the traitors good is that they have a reasonably normal set of people. Even when it's not celebrities, most reality shows are full of "influencers" and it makes it inauthentic. This is just good old Big Brother style tension, with injected confrontation, it's great. And yes, one particular talent in this years show.
  8. If we're talking greatest sportsman/women (and I would split it out), then you have to look at sports where there is a ton of global competition. For example being the best tennis player means you're the best tennis player of, for arguments sake, 100 million tennis players worldwide. Football is more but then is a team sport. Fuck it, just give it to Michael Jordan.
  9. Greatest snooker player even and currently, but no snooker player is going to be the greatest sports person alive.
  10. If he goes does leave us 1 DM short or its expected Charles or Awe are good enough cover?
  11. Nonsense, Obafemi has/had plenty of ability as he showed at times. I don't know the ins and outs, but my perception is he doesn't seem to be able to keep himself fit and on form for large periods of time which is stopping him being a decent top Championship/lower prem level striker.

    Russia

What would this mean for the conflict? If Ukraine was part of the EU then Russia would be at war with the EU?
  13. If Sunak can't get his Rwanda bill through then he's essentially in Theresa May Brexit territory. I don't see how he can just "carry on as normal" in that case and surely would be forced to either resign or call a general election and "let the people decide".
  14. Unless they make him a lord.
  15. Farage in the jungle saying he wouldn't rule out being the next Tory leader, having attended the Tory conference a couple of months ago...
  16. Would be great if he ended up as an ambassador for the club, he's clearly very well liked and would represent us very well globally as such an experienced international.
  17. It's difficult for Labour because there are plenty of people within the party who disagree with the bit in bold. That being said, the vast, vast majority of the voting population either doesn't care or is actively transphobic, so going with your approach would probably work electorally.
  18. Yep, this will be the Torie's main ticket at the election I suspect. They don't really have strength in any of the main areas, they're even perceived as weak on immigration/international relations so I think they'll tone that down and go with a full blown attempt to scare middle class parents into thinking Starmer will spend his time as prime minister converting Daves to Debbies and Debbies to Daves. Will be interesting to see what Starmer/Labour do, the Trans stuff is an absolute minefield.
  19. My only guess is that this latest re-shuffle and bringing Cameron back, is an acceptance by the great Tory establishment that they're pretty much stuffed and should focus on damage limitation. Bring together a government with experience, some competence and centrism for a year and their polling should improve a bit and they should avoid wipeout next year. Can't see bringing back Cameron as an election winning move though.
  20. Surely Gallagher is a bit more attacking though. With Rice holding, you need someone who can cover when Rice surges forward (which he's very good at), so you need a proper box to box midfielder who can slot in as the defensive midfielder when required. Henderson, Phillips and Ward Prowse fit this mould, Gallagher isn't great defensively. I don't think JWP is a world beater, but I do think he's a good fit for that role and it does seem odd he's completely frozen out.
  21. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt for being able to get a premier league job. I'd say there were quite a few factors behind our shitness.
  22. He was absolutely awful for us and by the looks of it has been terrible at Reading. From his time with us I really didn't see any 'potential', just felt like a good coach who had no idea how to manage.
  23. Sure there are a few clubs in the Prem who would take a punt on him for 3-4 million in January, but you'd have thought his best bet is to have a strong season in the championship and then get a range of offers when on a free in the summer.
  24. Could see it as no lose, if they continue to be terrible he has an excuse, if they show any signs of life he can take credit for it and use it to look for another job in the division.
  25. Agreed, and also it removes the predictability. One of our biggest weaknesses is the opponent know exactly what we're going to do.
