We’ve lost 9-0 twice in very recent memory, the title of this thread is ridiculous….

The season ended when we dropped out of the FA Cup, I have zero interest in this season now and clearly neither do the players. The squad needs a massive overhaul this summer, I hope the owners have the means to do what’s required .

A backlash was always going to happen after Tuchel ripped them a new one in mid week. Typically it had to be us next.

Might not be a million miles from the truth there. I’m not saying they deliberately dropped league points, that would be unforgivable, but I do think that psychologically these players are more focussed on the cup and see getting to Wembley as a real possibility. It’s no coincidence that our league form dropped off after the West Ham win and having already drawn twice with Man City, they might feel they have a chance in a one off cup match, particularly as Liverpool are hot on their heels. No doubt the league is City’s priority.

If only we could be unbeaten v Man City in the league this season…..oh!

Although past experiences tell me it would be pretty ‘Saintsy’ to drop into a nosedive after such an impressive run (Caveat being that this squad seems to have something about them that many in the past did not)
