  1. Well as pointed out if you consider the BBC not a main TV channel, or Sky for that matter you might miss the highlights. But then maybe it's not on everyone's titwobbleface feed. Also it was pointed out this morning on radio 4 (again, one of those fringe stations requiring more than goldfish style attention) by arrogantly underestimating or undervaluing the competition the big 5/6/7 are actually making it a bit more interesting. Plymouth will have a little cheer this morning anyway, in a otherwise horrible season for them. Better than watching round 6 of a bizzare champions league first stage preliminary game between two teams mostly focussed on not losing anyway. Saints were awful with the game another hard watch for our fans but I for one would not put staying in an increasingly bias EPL above a decent FA cup run anymore. Others with bigger brains than this bear will disagree of course.
  2. Between 73000 - 148000 a year according to the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwy1wm0l92ro
  3. I loved this comment - "He was brilliant. No idea how he wasn't getting more game time at Saints with how terrible they've been. Although Martin probably wasn't used to seeing defenders pass forward and run with the ball "
  4. Can you blame him after the poor way he's been treated here ?
  5. Hmm, if a goal is scored when the martin is not there does it count? He's a coward.
  6. Easy there
  7. 83% possesion of course.
  8. We need the echo to take one of them pictures of an overweight middle aged man pointing at his ticket app on an iphone. Or a pothole, or a uncollected rubbish bag, or where some rats have been.
  9. I think we must've all been very naughty boys and girls in a previous life. Or maybe SR are making £££ by placing bets on him staying when every half competent human agrees he should've long gone. Slightly amused by the billing of tonight's prem game as a "sack" event with little comment on our fine position/record and no hint of movement.
  10. Good luck to him, he'll need it as Hull are a basket case. Mind you so have been Reading and he's done well there with no money. Just found out wouldn't take his own salary just before xmas last year so office and backroom staff could be paid, seems like a decent man.
  11. He's terrified of putting Paul on in case he grabs a goal.
  12. I've thought he's looking to get sacked for a bit now. taking the p*ss with some selections.
  13. Bloody 'ell, he can pass! Get him on.
  14. I thought you were joking (something discouraged in this thread I understand) but bugger me you're right. This weeks comments on saintsweb would've given him a confidence boost anyway.
  15. Well that's pleased the irish crowd, lets hope Grealish pops one in as well.
  16. Christ chaps. This all takes me back to my Sunday League playing days. We got away with using the names Hans Holder and Jocelyn Box for our ringers. No incoming news then.
  17. A firm push with his index finger should do that.
  18. ANY club that has Holgate anywhere near the 1st team squad this season in the Prem is relegation fodder.
  19. Well after qualifying as a Psychiatric Nurse I did complete my masters to become an advanced practitioner about 10 years ago. On this occasion my opinion was based on Broja running like he had my dodgy hip and a hangover.
  20. He's not been the same since the knee injury. The occasions I saw him play for Chelsea/Fulham/Albania he just didn't look like he was interested at times.
  21. You sir are a fine vintage.
  22. Was it about 2-3 seasons ago when many in the itchen South and Chapel found the automated card entry not working. Cue flustered stewards and some (including myself) missing the start of the game. It also took a few games to sort it out if I remember. I just don't have much faith in Saint's IT dept to manage this. If not using NFC / wireless and screen grabs not working (why? it's a good standby and can only be used once), I remain unsure what foolproof tech the system is using. As a very old git I'm quite happy to use all the modern advances available, but understand that some may not possess the hardware or skills to access it. It just seems a bit more complicated than it needs to be. But hey, stuck here in the Welsh wilds my St Marys days are pretty much over so not my problem, though I can see some issues for the club if the system isn't reliable. KISS.
  23. Looks like he can't be arsed, or run, or anything much.
