  1. No holds barred
  2. You'd suggest game over if we're racing those clubs, but it's a link nonetheless...
  3. He's a professional gimp
  4. The pepper spray and nightstick treatment is starting to make sense
  5. 1) Ok mate, apologies - have you got the MLG approved list for future reference? It is better than Premier League 2 though, correct? 2) Fair enough, 11 league goals then - I'm sure you take my point. 3) One year on his contract, seems to be the point where we let players go if there's any interest elsewhere.
  6. Yeah it seems unlikely, but I think it's time for SR to put up or accept that we will be one of the sides circling the drain. Che Adams, while a good player, being the main goalscorer for a Premier League side is a recipe for disaster.
  7. 1) Broja had experience in a top European league and as a senior international - and still only managed six league goals and to look bothered / keep up intensity for half of the season. Livramento clearly struggled with fitness after exploding onto the scene. 2) I should have clarified 15 goals across all comps, around 11 goals in the PL would be fine - the same amount as Teemu Pukki managed. As long as we're willing to spend in the £30m bracket, they shouldn't be too hard to find. 3) Because our midfield is lightweight and too passive a lot of the time (especially without Romeu), and Romeu will likely be off this summer.
  8. 15 across all competitions sounds about right to me considering the limitations of Che - who I think is the perfect second striker. Pukki, for example, got 11. Toney got 12. Emmanuel Dennis would be at the top of my list, but shouldn't be too hard to find someone in a similar bracket if we spend about £30m.
  9. Not one link has excited me so far. Are these youngsters going to have the grit and the knowhow to navigate a relegation battle if it comes to it? Delap has played 2 senior games, and McAtee has played 6... We need a 15 goal striker. We need two horrible midfielders. We need a top centre-back. We need at least one number 10 with a bit about them.
  10. He's shit, a liability, and a headcase to boot. Will be back on loan at the Italian Southampton inside a year.
  11. Can't see them stumping up the £50m+ it will take. Could spark the likes of Spurs and Man United into life though if they are truly after him.
  12. £60m for Prowsey looking a more and more enticing option. Yes he's irreplaceable, but we need to move to a three man midfield and I think that would probably offset the loss. I'd suggest we need 4 X £20m players to have a chance of staying up next season. Can't see Fulham and Bournemouth both going down.
  13. I'd be happy with this but keeping McCarthy as number one for now really leaves a sour taste. This kid will be up to speed in six months but half a year of Macca could be catastrophic - would be a lot more at ease if it were Forster sticking around.
  14. 🤦‍♂️
  15. If we sign two CBs that would be a great signing imo
  16. Someone mentioned similarities to Smith-Rowe and now I can't unsee it. He is a player who has proven himself to have incredible end product this season - he just strikes the ball so cleanly. That is something very hard to teach. This kid looks to share that.
  17. More moneyballache than moneyball. Don't think I'll be fucking bothering with a ST next season.
  18. Two match ban for 10 yellows. Ideally he makes it through until Leeds and then picks up the booking, IMO.
  19. I've never seen someone as petrified of the ball coming into the box as Bednarek. Lyanco probably isn't top half quality but at least he's willing to chuck himself at the ball, has shown a bit of defensive nous, and most importantly for me - he knows when to fucking hoof it one.
  20. I'd snap your arm off for a 1-1 draw, no injuries and no more suspensions
  21. Bite Chelsea's hand off for £40m while we still can. They won't care if it's over three or four years, it's all about the bottom line and FFP wiggle room for them. He'll easily go for double that in a few years anyway.
  22. This does read like Dragan has just signed up for an account, but it does echo a lot of what I've read online across multiple platforms and heard from friends in the Balkans. Nice to have a conscionable character at the helm - unlike a certain PL club I can name.
  23. Two juicy morsels: -------------------------------------------------------- "It’s understood that Southampton hasn’t got the option to pay it back until June and that conversations will take place with Sport Republic about when it gets settled. No decision has been made at this stage, but The Athletic can reveal that there is an intention to pay down part of this loan as soon as is possible." -------------------------------------------------------- While he wouldn’t reveal the figure, Semmens explained the club has received an injection of cash in light of the takeover. This doesn’t mean they will be competing to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer, but it’s believed a commitment has been made to provide money for the next two years from a capital expenditure point of view.
