Agree. Nobody disputes that most pros can hit a ball with the outside of the foot but Modric could only put that ball in one exact spot for them to score. He did it by factoring in the pace and flight so that the ball dropped over the defender into the perfect spot where the forward could score. It certainly wasn't just a run-of-the-mill pass with the outside of his foot. He did it under pressure because Real were starting to run out of ideas and he unlocked Chelsea with one moment of brilliance.

Think Chelsea would have got over the line but for an absolutely brilliant pass from Modric which set up the equaliser - few players could have pulled that off with the outside of the foot.

Agree about our coaches on match days. There is no evidence of any passion or involvement from them or interaction with the manager. Can only assume this is the way Ralph likes it.

I'm assuming the squad were all woken by early alarm calls and have been at Staplewood since 06.00 am to shock them out of their comfort zone and give them a literal wake-up call.. I hope they've been made to watch the whole game and each player and Ralph have had to stand and give a five minute talk on what happened and why, what part they played (or didn't play) as individuals and what they aim to do to put it right for the remainder of the season. Following this the lot of them should be put in stocks by the Bargate with fans and members of the public given the chance to hurl abuse and whatever else they can get their hands on at this pathetic bunch of excuses for football professionals. In reality they'll all be snuggled up in bed in their luxury mansions sleeping like babies with not a care in the world. 🙂

Burnley have 9 games left including a home game against us and some other winnable games. I don't think we'll go down but we do need to show some character or Burnley could scrape past us. It shouldn't happen but we have lapsed into one of our spells where wins do not look likely.

Look on the bright side - Theo is bound to start against Arsenal.
