If Utd pick VAR again they will beat us. He is currently their best player.
-
No need to hit a penalty anywhere near the crossbar. Too risky.
-
He'll be very disappointed with that penalty tonight and rightly so. Criminal not to at least it the target and poor technique to hit such a rising shot. Not even any crowd noise to put extra pressure on so no excuses. I'd be happier if Ings was given the job going forward.

Well, according to one of their fans playing in front of empty stadiums somehow affects them more than any other side. Not sure how that works. Deluded.

First half we were superb and Everton then realised they couldn't play the game in midfield as we had too much class for them so they went for the old hoofball. Very impressed with us especially after a very draining game on Sunday and picking the same eleven. It is clear what Ralph and the coaching staff are working on and I think we are becoming a very good side. With one or two tweaks and maybe the odd new face I can see us developing into a great side to watch.
-
Good point but a little disappointed it wasn't more. Everton realised they couldn't match us at football so started launching the long hoof.
-
Would take a point now against these.
-
We must be due a bit of luck against these.
-
We're all over the place now. They have changes formation and we haven't reacted.
-
Time to bring on Longy.
-
Getting sloppy now.
-
Should be out of sight in this game. Hope we don't regret it but this is Everton of course,

Looking at videos of this kid Eze of QPR he looks brilliant. Only 22 he is strong, quick and brave with bags of skill and a good finisher. I'm certain other Prem clubs will be looking at him. He is a bag of tricks and flicks most of which come off. Very direct and glides past opponents with ease. Great control and awareness. He's pretty much got the lot. Go get him quick before somebody else does.
-
I see the Bournemouth fans are now claiming they would much prefer to play in the Championship - in other words they realise the Prem was too big a step up.

Think Cantwell is over rated.
-
Puts Bournemouth even deeper in the mire and their form over the last 20 games must lead even their most optimistic fan to believe they are going to be relegated. Eddie has been proved to be a one-trick pony and not as good as many think he is. Time he appointed some decent coaches instead of his yes-men mates.

Good point well made and I should have added the word 'again'.

I confess to having never been a fan of JWP but he is winning me over and I think the reason is that he has added a bit of steel and nastiness to his play. He'll never be the quickest but, as others have said, he is reliable in possession. Also he has cut out many of the safe passes he was continually making and is now taking more risks which he should as he is a good passer of the ball. He has a good football brain and is certainly turning in some consistent displays now. Not sure he'll ever make an England squad but hope he will prove me wrong.

On his day Hojbjerg is a very good player. The problem is, he doesn't tend to have enough of those days. Over a season I would say Romeu is more consistent and the more accomplished footballer.

Despite Adams finally breaking his duck I would be inclined to partner Long with Ings for this game. I think Longy runs the channels better, is quicker and we seem to create more chances for Ings when he is on the pitch. Probably going to get flamed for that 🙂

What made the game so intriguing was that City obviously dominated possession yet I always felt we looked dangerous on the break and capable of scoring a second. Ok, we didn't have loads of clear cut chances but there were a few times when we almost won back the ball high up or else just failed to pick out a decent pass to set up an opportunity. Redmond could have done better on a couple of occasions, we know Ings is capable of converting chances like the one KWP provided, I thought Adams could have reached the dodgy back-pass and Armstrong probably should have slotted his chance. We did ride our luck but I think we were overdue a break against City.

Think it is clear from the form over last 20 games that the current bottom 3 deserve to go down.

Bournemouth rock bottom of current form over a long period yet some dope on their forum claiming they have a better squad than us. Deluded!
