  1. Quote my post where I suggested we start a game with Redmond in central midfield. You can't can you?
  2. Nobody can surely deny that we are in meltdown.
  3. Twisting my words now to suit your agenda.
  4. The vultures are circling. All those teams that we should get points from are currently looking at us as their next meal.
  5. Not yet.
  6. Nothing wrong with a bit of get it long football to mix things up a bit and make your opponents think. Leeds caused most problems for us when they went longer and bypassed the midfield. The idea is to create chances and get up and around the oppo penalty box - doesn't matter how you do it. We are too fixated with playing one style so the teams we play know exactly what is coming.

Next two games can be pretty much written off regardless of who is fit so let's hope to get some bodies back for Sheff Utd.
  8. It's getting exciting and embarrassing in equal measures.
  9. Presumably you haven't been watching us a lot lately.
  10. You're not allowed to say that.
  11. I'm sure they could swap midfield roles quite adequately. Not saying they'd give the same levels of performance but they could both do a reasonable job in any midfield role.
  12. Slightly different as you well know. Bednarek is a centre back whereas all the players mentioned are midfielders
  13. Look, if a midfielder can't do a different job than he's used to to plug a gap when we are being over run then we might as well give up. They are all professional footballers and all should be able to tackle, track runners, mark opponents etc etc. They are paid millions for this shit and should all be capable of adapting to help a tactical change. Nobody is asking them to play there permanently but if they can't fill in for 30-40 minutes then what's the point.
  14. So how does the untested one get tested and how does the one who failed his test get the chnce to retake it?
  15. But it's a suggestion of at least trying to do something to stem the flow towards our goal and the clear cut chances rather than just doing the same old. Somebody in the dugout has to stand up and be counted and make a tactical change. Others do it against us and it often transforms a game as Leeds did today. You can't just stand their and take the punishment, you have to fight back.
  16. Ah well, let's make zero tactical changes then as Leeds steamroller all over us. That worked didn't it!
  17. What you think JWP is some kind of midfield warrior do you? Take away his dead ball skills and tell me what you are left with.
  18. You do know that today's squad included numerous midfield players don't you?
  19. Pity games are made up of two halves.
  20. Last season we were playing very well. We pissed all over them but they still managed to fluke a point.
  21. We had Armstrong, Redmond, Romeu, Minamina, Djenepo all of who are or can play midfield (although I don't class Mini as a midfielder myself). Ralph could have made some switches to stem the tide. If you don't try something then the pressure just keeps building.
  22. Same for most sides and some have it worse than us. It's part of football so we should be dealing with it not using it as an excuse for what we have become.
  23. He could have put JWP there. We needed to be doubling up on their two wide men not given them all that grass to run at Bednarek and Bertrand.
  24. He should have spotted what was happening and gone to three at the back. That way at least we would have been a lot harder to break down. The manager's job is to spot these things and change our play not just stand there and watch us being torn apart by the likes of Leeds.
  25. Oppo manager and coaches learn from what happened in the first half and react to it. We just carry on in our own sweet way as though nothing has changed.
