  1. JWP without class deliveries is a waste of a shirt.
  2. Typical.
  3. We're at home so why is Romeu playing as a 3rd centre back?
  4. Well, let's see how long they dedicate to Spurs Arsenal before we make that judgement.
  5. I see Sky are using the build-up to our match to talk about Spurs v Arsenal.
  6. Excellent montage highlighting just how good this lad is. That could quite easily be a skills video showcasing the talents of a quality senior player who has been at the top for years and yet it comes from just a few matches. He is a special talent and we are so lucky to have him for however long.
  7. Rightly so. Clog for a clogger. Great business to offload him onto Spurs.
  8. Two blatant dives where he was going down under no contact. Should have been booked.
  9. Apart from a world class pass with the outside of his foot which he spotted in a nano second and led to Bailey's goal.
  10. A big shout out to Oriel for that performance yesterday. It was one of his best ever in a Saints shirt and shows those few fans who seemed to have written him off how wrong they are. Romeu gets few headlines which may be a blessing as it keeps him under the radar of other clubs. Now he is getting back up to full fitness we are starting to see him at his best and I believe he would walk into most sides in the Premier League.
  11. Who would have thought we'd play 3 sides in Man U, West Ham and City at a time they were banging in goals for fun and let in just one goal and restrict their shots on target to a bare minimum. That's a serious turn around from how our defence was performing so fair play to Ralph, the coaches and the players.
  12. It seems we've stemmed the goals and chances against which was the priority. The next stage will be to balance that defensive stability against the need to be more offensive, create chances and score more goals. The defence had to be sorted it's now just a question of whether we can get bodies forward in numbers and pick the right passes/options so we score more goals. If we can achieve that we'll have some side.
  13. No doubt the MoTD highlights will be suitably cut to make it appear as though City were all over us.
  14. If the BBC seriously gave Broia man of the mach you have to wonder about their football expertise. There were many more deserving of the award not least Romeu who gave the perfect holding midfield play and barely wasted a ball or miscontrolled a pass whilst constantly breaking up City as they attempted to get up a head of steam. That was as good a display as you will see from someone in his position.
  15. There is absolutely no way Armstrong fouled Walker - that is ridiculous.
  16. Superb performance and a result not many would have expected. I thought Romeu was man of the match - the guy was immense today in making sure City didn't boss the midfield. To be fair to Redmond I thought he finished the game quite strongly. Defensively we were spot on and not many teams will come away from the Etihad with a clean sheet and few shots for their keeper to save. Salisu is going to be worth a lot of money. Regarding the penalty it did seem that Moss was not shown the best angle when he viewed the pitch-side screen. I would like to see the same set up as in rugby where the referee can actually ask to see different shots of an incident so he has the full picture. Wasn't sure about the time wasting near the end when we had a free kick in a dangerous area but then again, how many times have we seen those thrown into the mix and then the ball is cleared and we are caught short on the break so maybe it was the sensible option. Well played lads and hats off to Ralph for a brave team selection which I admit left me scratching my head when I saw the line up.
  17. He's probably pissed out of his head and had a big wedge on City to win
  18. Good shout, Tino is finding it tough against Grealish which is not surprising.
  19. Broja is the one who would cause City problems. Crying out for his introduction. Saints have done well although City do look jaded and have plenty on the bench to call on. Redmond again wastes every good position he finds himself in - so frustrating. All in all, pleasantly surprised but a long way to go.
  20. Didn't do anything particularly clever, it was just Stephens turning off as he is prone to do.
  21. Yeah, Stephens clearly still hasn't learned to pick up his man.
  22. If there is any shred of truth in this then he shouldn't be managing a Premier League football club. He did sort of prepare us for these type of random changes with his comments about players not being able to expect to play the next game just because they performed well in the last game. I guess he was talking about Salisu and Peraud and, to a certain extent, Broja. Weird.
  23. Feel free and I hope you get to do it. You must understand people questioning the logic behind this line up but if it works then far play to Ralph.
  24. Another strange line up from Ralph leaving many of us scratching our heads. Drop our best centre back. Give Redmond and Moi another crack after shockers last week and not pick Broja who was sensational in his cameo. Hope it comes off for you Ralph but if it goes badly wrong expect heavy incoming.
  25. If we go one up front it surely has to be Broja because he is big, strong and quick which will mean he'll prove a handful for their defenders and keep them honest. We can pump long balls forward (which I'm sure we'll be forced to do) knowing that he has a chance of getting on the end of them. Don't think any of our other forwards offer that - maybe Adams but he's very poor in the air.
