Agree about his penalties. He must mix it up or he'll run the risk of seeing more saved in the future.
-
Broja must start.
-
You mean like the interest he showed when coming off the bench against West Ham and hitting the post and having a header cleared off the line? As compared to the interest of our other strikers who rarely look like scoring or giving opposition defenders much to worry about. It is clear this lad has something about him and he needs games. He won't score goals warming the bench and watching the rest toil away.
-
Could any of our other strikers have scored the goal he got yesterday? Just because he did little in a game he started against Sheffield Utd you claim he is possibly best used as an impact sub. Our other strikers also do diddly squat when starting because the service is poor or non-existent. Out of all of them only Broja looks capable of getting a goal out of nothing so for that reason alone he should start.
-
Ralph has got to give this lad a run of games. We need a goalscorer and he fits the bill. Stop prevaricating Ralph and saying he needs to show more and stick him in the side.
-
We can't change our style of play unless Ralph rewrites his beloved play book.
-
Disgraceful. Not even a difficult decision.
-
Nobody has claimed it's a world wide vendetta. Just my opinion but I think he doesn't particularly like us and is not adverse to giving poor decisions against us.
-
Why would it be difficult for a referee to act if he has an agenda against a particular team? He's making decisions whether as a ref or VAR official.
-
Exactly. Dean has previous against us and whenever he is involved in our games, whether as a ref or VAR official, he always seems over eager to give decisions against us.
-
They'll finish top half I reckon.
-
Brentford proving that small clubs can compete at the top table. Well done them.
-
Watford is away.
-
More evidence he has an agenda against us.
-
Correct. Some of those criticising Armstrong need to list the glaring chances he's missed because there aren't many and Ings doesn't convert every good chance he gets.
-
He couldn't fix it in pre-season or in the last international break yet you think he is suddenly going to have a light bulb moment in the next 2 weeks?
-
You don't believe Dean has an agenda against us!
-
Draws against those teams around us are next to useless. We need wins against them so that we are gaining 3 points over them not staying level. This is particularly the case for home matches.
-
You're right but it goes further in that Dean clearly has an agenda against us and goes out of his way to use his powers to punish us in a biased manner.
-
Watford will not be easy to beat at their place. All 5 of these games will be a bit of a lottery and we'll need heaps of luck to secure more than 5-6 points from them which won't be a great return. Unless Ralph suddenly discovers the magic formula to picking the right team, playing the right formation and winning games we are heading for a very tough season. There's no sign of him doing that stretching back from January after we beat Liverpool. Sadly he seems too set in his ways and rarely springs any surprises or pulls a rabbit from his hat. What you see is what you get. How much longer he is allowed to continue this horrendous run is the big question. Those running things must surely be seriously weighing up the options as they have given him longer than most clubs would, I don't think anyone could doubt that. I'd like nothing better than for Ralph to make a success but I'm just not sure he has it in him.
-
I'll leave it there.
-
Think most of us would be fuming if we scored that goal and it was ruled out for offside.
-
Think that's clutching at straws.
-
In a nutshell.
-
Battling second half after Ralph rightly hooked Theo - his big mistake was picking him to start. Red card all day long and JWP should be told not to go near those sort of challenges because he is always well late getting there. Having said that Jorginho made a meal of it with his dying swan act. That swung the game in their favour and 3-1 was about the right scoreline in the end. Well played McCarthy. We always looked stretched to the full and liable to conceded but they are not European Champions for nothing. Games like this will not relegate us but we need to start winning soon and sort out a system that keeps us solid at the back and able to score goals. It's a shame we don't have enough tall, athletes in our squad because that is what you need these days in the Premier League.
